"Hi! Welcome to Panera Bread, only two?" The hostess looked at us both and I gave her a warm smile, nodding my head. She smiled, grabbing two menu's and walking us to a table outside. I grinned, hoping she would let us sit outside. It was a nice day, considering it was fall. We sat down in our seat and she sat the menu's down. "Okay, so what would you ladies like to drink?" She pulled out a notepad and pen, holding them against …show more content…
"I'll have a water with a lemon, please." I pushed my hair behind my shoulders. "Alright, I'll be right back with your drinks!" She quickly walked away and I inhaled deeply.
"Look at this, a rare Carla! She moves, she breaths!" Kayla started laughing as she looked through the menu and I glared at her. "I hate you." I mumbled and she just grinned. I already knew what I wanted, I come here only twenty five times a week. I always get an Italian combo on ciabatta. Sometimes I would get some sourdough bread too.
"There's too much good food here, I'm just gonna get what you get." Kayla giggled, shutting the menu and sliding it to the middle of the table, just as our waitress came back with our drinks. I mumbled a quick thank you as she set mine down.

I've known Kayla since third grade. She pushed me over on the playground and I pushed her back and we both got in trouble. Ever since then she's always stuck by my side. We've had a lot of arguments, one time we didn't talk to each other for a whole month. I caved when I had some drama to tell her, I can't stay mad at her for too long.
"Speaking of boyfriends, do you have anyone on your radar?" I took a sip of my water, crossing my feet. "I mean, I know a few hot boys. They don't like me back though." She rolled her eyes and I widened mine. "You're hot! Any boy would die to date you, those blue eyes snatch them right up." I laughed and watched her shake her head. "Boys only want one thing around here." She pressed her lips together and I nodded a
