Chipotle operates under a single business strategy in which it generated at least 95% of revenue from corporate owed restaurant. The advantage of having a single business strategy is that Chipotle focused their operation on one idea to expand their opportunity and growth. The organization I’m choosing to evaluate is Chick Fil A, in 2014 Chick Fil A’s earnings per restaurant were 3.1 million (Peterson, 2015). Compared to their top competitors McDonald’s, KFC, and Taco Bell, Chick Fil A has managed to make notable earnings despite having few stores and less hours of operation. Chick Fil A has a devoted following and their customer service sets and exceeds the standard. With the statistics and rave reviews I just gave Chick Fil A one would question what else can they do to improve? I have two words dinner menu, for sure Chick Fil A is the place everyone will go to when they need to grab a quick lunch or fulfilling breakfast however, Chick Fil A’s dinner menu needs to be address. What are the chances that people…
As a cashier at Panera Bread I would record customers orders in a clear and concise manner. While taking customers orders I would also conserve exceptional customer service . Including, containing a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events; continue to keep the store operating to standards that exhibit positive examples for the team. As the day continued I would maintain high levels of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation. Afterwards when it was time to close I was responsible for sustaining a balanced drawer throughout the…
This paper explores the principles and Christian values of Truett Cathy, and the positive effects on the Chick-fil-a organizations. At the time of his death, there were more than 1,800 Chick-fil-A restaurants in 40 states and Washington, D.C. Cathy’s approach was largely driven by personal satisfaction and a sense of obligation to the community and its young people. Chick-fil-A franchises are closed on Sundays. Cathy opened his first restaurant on a Tuesday, and found that, by Sunday, he was “just worn out.” He noted that, like himself, many of his customers preferred to observe the Christian Sabbath and, in their case, not eat out on Sundays, so his restaurants have been closed on Sundays ever since. This paper examines the relationship between Truett Cathy and how the Christian values within a workplace can positively influence the culture of the organization and also contribute to its success.…

Truett Cathy once said, “No goal is too high if we climb with care and confidence.” Consumers have seen this idea in action with Cathy’s entrepreneurial venture of opening Chick-fil-A. Now one of the highest-profiting fast food restaurants in America, Chick-fil-A started out as merely a family-owned restaurant in a shopping mall. Truett Cathy’s ambition and hard work turned his business into a gigantic success and a household name.…
A college university is all about the fast pace schedules and the on-the-go movement throughout the day, but when the time slows down and your stomach begins to growl you want something that will satisfy those hunger urges. At The University of New Mexico there are many convenient restaurants on campus in business for students, staff, and visitors. In the well-known Student Union Building (SUB) restaurants such as Saggio’s, Dos Hombres, and Time Square Deli are open to the public, but if you are looking for that fast fulfilling takeout food, Sonic and Chick-fil-A are the best places to attend.…

All the strategic alternatives are applicable steps that Chipotle can pursue. I believe that strategy one and two go hand in hand and are important strategies to implement in order to promote healthier lifestyles among the consumers. Consumers are now becoming aware of the food they eat and are turning to healthier food options. By Chipotle initiating this campaign across the U.S. and international markets, to join farmers and markets that supply raw goods to food establishments, and bringing awareness to providing Food With Integrity, they can capture a greater market share and also initiate change in the fast food industry in the long…

Miguel and his family left their home country of Chihuahua, Mexico for safety, better opportunities and to be free of religious persecution. (Why did you and your leave your home country?) Miguel’s parents had been talking about leaving their home land for a while, they were concerned with the escalating violence because of the drug war, an increase of kidnappings and homicides, made them feel unsafe not only in their own home but anywhere in the city. The family also practiced the Protestant faith which did not blend well with the locals, the majority of whom were Catholic. They felt they could not openly talk about or practice the religion of their choice. So in 2004 Miguel’s parents decided it was time to move the family to the U.S.…
Making the decision to eat out at a restaurant instead of having to cook a meal at home is an easy task. To many, the difficulty arises when figuring out which restaurant to eat at. There are a ton of restaurants to choose from. Multiple factors come into play when narrowing it down to just one restaurant. Today, I thought it would be a great idea to eat at Chipotle. The choice of food, customer service, and amount of locations justify why many would choose Chipotle as their go-to fast-food establishment.…
