It states that in the beginning there was only a void and "The only thing in this void was Nyx, a bird with black wings "(Murtagh 1). That bird, Nyx, in the midst of nothingness laid an egg. From the egg became Eros, the god of love. Then one half of the egg rose into the sky and the other became the Earth.
Though the similarities you can see the finer differences. From the embodiment of chaos turning into the bird Nyx, to the egg birthing two separate strong powerful beings. As the myths progress through the ages, you can see the creative patterns switch between the different cultures, yet it's still amazing to see the close similarities.
These myths, from over four thousand miles apart, have unbelievable similarities. The way the egg is used as the origin of everything, and a overlaying cosmic beast of power enough to create it. These similarities cross over to many different cultures and religions, through miles and miles, these similarities have withstood. The egg must symbolize birth, life, and prosperity. Coming through it love, in the case of the Greeks, and power, in the Chinese
