Upload media to Panopto
Not only can Panopto be used to create lecture recordings, but it can also host a variety of audio and video files. When uploaded, these files become available as links within a BLE course, where course participants can stream the content to their own computer.
Panopto supports the main media file types such as 3gp, asf, avi , mp3, mp4, mov, MPEG-2, wma, wmv. To ensure that the media file you are uploading is supported please visit: http://support.panopto.com/articles/Documentation/470-upload-support-matrix
Navigate to the Panopto site: https://soas.hosted.panopto.com

Please note if you are already logged into the BLE you will not be prompted to enter your details again as you be automatically directed to Panopto.

In the above example we explored how to upload a single video file however Panopto allows you to upload multiple files at the same time utilising the same method.
Moodle has a file size restriction of 100mb per file which is more than enough for types of files however you may encounter a problem when trying to upload a multimedia file such as a high quality video file. Within the BLE we have a Panopto upload button which allows you to upload large media files to the server without any file size restrictions.
The Panopto upload button can be found whilst creating resources such as label, page and book. For this example the guide will use label to demonstrate how to upload a large video file using the Panopto upload button.
