In the advanced world of technology, the media are one of many sources that have huge impact in people’s mind. The media have been the main source for distributing information and one way to distribute the information is through television. There are a lot of different kinds of televisions; one of them is 3D-TV which was newly invented in 2010, and if one wants to watch 3D movies, he has to wear 3D glasses. This paper will talk about the new breakthrough for TV which provided 3D visualization without glasses for multiple viewers and what method used in 3DTV.
What is 3D TV?

3DTV, shortened from 3-dimension TV, is a generic term for a display technology that lets home viewers experience TV programs, movies, games, and other video content in a stereoscopic effect. It current TV and HDTV display technology, which is typically limited to only height and width. It manipulates the depth perception of people to show a “pop-up” display from a TV. For people to be able to watch 3D effects, they have to use a certain type of glasses, but recently the researchers invented a glasses free 3D-TV.

How does glasses free 3DTV works?
Glasses free 3D TV works by producing two images each for left and right eye. There are two methods that been used, one is parallax barrier technology and the other is lenticular technology. The parallax barrier technology is using some kind of “filter” made from a built in layer of material in front of the screen. The 3D effects are created through a series of slits that produces images which allows each eye to see a different set of images. On the other hand, the lenticular technology works by arranging small lenses on the display and refracting the left and right images to send separate images to each eye.
