24 March 2015 Audience Analysis: My audience is a class of freshmen students, and my speech teacher, at the
International Academy of Macomb.
General Purpose: To demonstrate.
Specific Purpose: To teach my peers how to make paper flowers.
Central Idea: To share a new craft with the class. How to Make a Paper Flower
I.
Introduction
A. Anonymous once said, “the earth without ‘art’ is just ‘eh’.”
B. The kind of art that I’ll be sharing with you today requires two pieces of paper or two sticky notes, scissors, a glue stick, and a pencil if needed.
C. My knowledge of the making of paper flowers goes back to sixth grade though I don’t actually recall how I learned.

Step Four
6. Next, you’re going to take either one of your flowers and make two cuts along the straight edge following the direction of the now rounded side making sure not to cut to the edge so the paper is still intact.

, you do the same to the other paper. On this second paper, you will need to cut out the piece of paper in the middle so there’s a gap between the first and last sections. E. Step Five

For the next step
, unfold the paper with the gap and set it aside. However, if you chose to use a sticky note, be very careful when pulling the paper apart to be sure not to rip it.

Now
, take the other paper and open that one up, as well. Next, you’ll need to take the middle section of one of the four divisions of your paper and glue the point of it down to the center of your paper. Repeat this with three other middle sections. Overlapping the pieces is perfectly fine. F. Step Six

Finally
, take the piece you just glued down and center it on the piece with the cutout section so the top piece is in an ‘x’ shape and the bottom piece is in a plus sign shape and glue them to each other.
