Her looks definitely made her stand apart from everyone else. Woman, especially in kahlo's era, were inspired by her to be themselves and to care less about their outward appearance. Frida kahlo had a lot of influence on the art community. Before kahlo’s art there wasn't a lot of provocative artist pushing the boundaries of sexuality and feminism. Kahlo's art was clearly different from anything else. Her art opened up something new and different from surrealism or contemporary art. Frida Kahlo had a lot of health problems. When she was six years old she contracted polio and one leg was larger than the other, but she covered it with long skirts or dresses. At 15 she was in a survir bus accident, she broke 7 bones and had a pole go through her abdomen, she was bedridden for two years after, but never fully recovered. When kahlo was 46 she got her leg amputated, as a result of gangrene. She died from pulmonary embolism at the age of 47. Frida Kahlo was an inspiration for all.
