Motivation and commitment are a must to achieve all our goals. In our lives, we need to have determined objectives, with some type of flexibility in case we cannot accomplish our plans. EL103 is one the steps for my study goals. Some steps to pass this course are the following; follow an organized schedule, identify your strengths and flaws, and keep a positive attitude.
First, it is very important for students to have a study plan. Time management is a must as a learner. Students should follow a schedule, planning the right amount of time for each activity during the day. Moreover, when it is time to study or do some homework, one should be in a comfortable and productive environment, and away from any type of distraction. Stress and procrastination can be obstacles for an EL 103 class. Don’t do your homework tomorrow if you can do it today!
Second, we are not infallible; recognize your strengths and weaknesses. If you don’t understand something, please ask! The professor will be more than happy to explain any doubts you may have. Also, if you have any papers to turn in, don’t wait until the last minute to do them. Give yourself the time you need to present an A paper. The student can also go to the Writing Center for extra support on their writing.
Last, but not least, keep an optimistic attitude. Everything is easier when you look at the bright side of things. Time will pass by no matter what, might as well do something productive with it.
In conclusion, these three steps don’t have a different level of importance; they are acting at the same time in three words: commitment, organization, and improvement. Just keep reminding yourself you are going to school for your future, so you can give yourself and your family a better one, and of course, you want to be successful in life! Are you ready to be the best you can be at this EL 103 class?
