Pat Tillman was a very determined person. Pat was told that he should stick with playing baseball and not move over to football, but he provved them wrong after making it on the team, playing for college football, then finally making it to the NFL. When he had joined the army and it so happened that he died, his death just didn’t have an effect on his wife or family, it affected may of his friends too, His high school football coach, the coaches for the cardinals, and even his fans. Pat also was like a hero to his football team. They looked up to him for going to the army right out of football. Not many NFL players are able to do that sort of thing. Pat was a very loyal person. As the years went on for playing in the NFL many people wanted to draft Tillman on their teams. The Rams offered him a $9 million contract if he signed over to play with them, but pat stayed loyal to him original team the Cardinals. When he joined the army he had four other teams that wanted to draft him and declined every single one. He was very determined to serve and fight for our country that he didn’t even think twice about leaving. To sum it all up Pat Tillman wasn’t just a football player, to many he was a hero. Not a lot of people can wake up one day and just decide that they want to quit their dream and go join the army. Not a lot of people have the determination to keep going after someone tells them to stop. Many don’t hold such loyalty to others when they can leave for a better offer, most choose the better offer.
