Mrs. Crump
Patience Pays off
Ow! That hurt. I just slipped because of the wet mud. My brothers MO and Rock are helping me up, but my friends are making fun of me. Rock is telling me Kuta, a stupid kid in the slums, pushed me because I accidently stepped on his foot. I hate Kuta he thinks he’s so cool and strong. I’m going to go and punch him. Just as I was about to go MO stopped me. He gave me the evil look and took me and Rock home. Did I forget to mention that we don’t actually have a “home?” We just live on top of some broken slums. Our family abandoned us because they didn’t have enough money to support us. MO and Rock have some crappy jobs, and I just stay home and starve. It’s a really hard life.
We saw something REALLY interesting today when we were coming home from the rain. It said in huge, bold letters, “Show Your Talents to the world in India’s Got Talent. Featuring: Sharuk Khan! Grand prize winner will receive 1,000,000 rupees.” This was huge! We totally knew we were going to sign up, because we have one crazy talent. The talent consists of standing on top of each other, than juggling small, rocks really fast. Like faster than Sonic the Hedgehog.
Today was the big day. The line was long, like longer than the line when people are giving food away for free. We luckily were almost to the judges because we came early. Its our turn, and I’m so nervous. While I was up the stairs I almost fell. The judges are asking us what we are going to do to entertain them , MO responded quickly and said that we stood on each other and juggled rocks really fast which sounded really weird. The judges asked a little about our life and all that boring stuff. I didn’t really care about the 2 of the 3 judges. The one I did care about was Sharuk Khan; people say that if he likes your act he can make you big money. Once we were done with our act Sharuk was smiling at us and told us stay with him. We got all 10s which is the max you can get.
