Collectively there are clinical, operational, financial and experiential outcomes that need to be evaluated, and corrective action is essential for optimum patient satisfaction. There is evidence to suggest that there is a higher patient satisfaction associated with those health care providers who use EMRs versus those health care providers who do not use EMRs. An EMR and patient satisfaction correlation summary provided by a nationwide survey in 2013 evaluated that patients who use EMRs are 10% more satisfied with their doctors (aeffect & 88/BRAND PARTNERS, 2013, p.6). A patient's satisfaction influences the healthcare organizations revenue potential. The organization's reputation can affect its ability to obtain future patients or to provide continued care for existing patients that will have an influence on the organization's market share
