window. It had been broken from the inside, supporting the idea that this wasn't a theft at all! It was a break out.
Their claims become even more bizarre as the story progresses. Patrick had been at the ware house being interrogated by the gang when they decide to sentence him to death. The leader, Alton, decides to host a trial to give Patrick a chance to redeem himself. However, Patrick was not satisfied with the fairness of the trial considering all the members of the court and jury were already convince he was guilty. So logically, Patrick summoned Donald to witness the trial. When the dead-man walking arrived, he was wrapped in a sheet and still wearing the identification tag. The gang claims that the corpse gained color before their eyes. Before the gang could finish processing the new arrival, he starts protesting Succat’s innocence. They argued the man’s claims until Donald walks over to the other end of the warehouse. There he states that there is no way Succat is guilty because of the fact that one of the gangs own members were the their thief! The second in command, Aaron Smith had stolen the stash of money. Donald told the gang to check Smith’s pockets. The gang was hesitant, but curiosity got the best of them. Alton himself was the one to find the wad of cash still wrapped with the banks logo in Smith’s pockets. The leader of the gang became furious with Smith and would have murdered him if not for Succat’s interference. Succat speaks on smith’s behalf and states the motive for Smith’s betrayal. Smith’s brother was direly ill a few miles away, and Smith had planned to use the money to fund his surgeries. This confession catches Alton by surprise, and now Alton is angry for a completely other reason. Alton is enraged Smith didn't tell him of his brother. Alton gives smith back the money with a warning to tell him next time he needs help. The gang frees Succat and apologizes. Succat doesn't leave them though. He volunteers to heal Smith’s brother. The who gang promptly goes on a road trip that takes three days to Dublin and back. HSBH Heart Hospital attests to Smith’s brother, Brendan Smith’s, miraculous recovery. During this trip, Succat converts the gang and Smith’s brother to Christianity. Smith, no longer needing the money, vows to donate it to various charities along with churches. Alton does the same with his stash.
Fast forward to the Police station.
All the members who were present were arrested at the scene. After the confession, Patrick declines to press charges. The city still sentences the gang. The whole gang must now do 1000 hours of community service. They are currently working with the city to build a church along main street. Donald, who after examination is deemed alive and well, reunites with his grateful family. The owners of the church are currently trying to persuade Succat to become their pastor. There is no word of Succat’s choice, but the community is hoping for a
yes.
