This shows to me that there is a hierarchy of people in society and the teachers is one of the smartest ones and the students are way below them. The second one that stood out to me is “the teacher chooses the program content, and the students (who were not consulted) adapt to it” (para. 8). This is a classic example of an oppressive society because they teach what they want you to learn. After reading the essay I find it an interesting view of the not only an oppressive society but also a view on the way education plays into it.
