A pediatric dentist is directed primarily on the oral health of infants and children. They are focused on having more knowledge on a child’s oral health than other specialties. A general dentist takes care of the oral health of all patients of any age. The difference between the two would be the fact that a pediatric dentist has two or three years of schooling on the specialty itself. However, a pediatric dentist in the army reserves is a passion that some people have, it’s not for everyone, but it is a career to consider. The difference between a regular pediatric dentist and one that’s enlisted in the army reserves is all the training you have to go through to be part of the medical team for our soldiers.
