Yes, we all work with patients, and our responsibilities are usually based on the amount of education we have. Patients may find me assisting with the more medical aspects of their care, such as administering some treatments, helping them manage their treatment plans, even explaining medical information or prevention strategies to them, or coordinating care with their families. As a pediatric nurse the biggest challenge I would say is death. Getting attached to a kid, seeing he/she dying because of a illness is breathtaking. Lakia who works at Providence Hospital as a pediatric nurse said that she would say the biggest challenge in her field she experienced this fair is respect. Nurses often don’t get the respect they deserve from doctors, patients, other professionals, and even other nurses. I would agree. Working in the medical field despite the attitudes of patients we must remain positive, keep a smile, and do everything to the best of our ability. As a pediatric nurse its also my job to help make the difference with patients and even there families. I believe everyone of you will be great parents. Keep a positive mindset and don’t let having a baby stop you or become a excuse. Push forward continuously to the goals you have set up to achieve. Allow your child to be your motivation. When he/she is older give them a accomplished to brag about saying my mom did that, itll be the best relief reward in the end.
