I would like to be considered for the position of a Peer Tutor as I feel I would be ideal for this role as I have the relevant skills and attributes to do it justice. During my time at Mossley Hollins I feel that I have demonstrated that I am good role model for younger pupils. I have an outstanding academic record and always apply myself 100% to any task that I am asked to undertake and I feel I could apply this to the role of a peer tutor. I am a hard working student who never gives up, I believe I am able to motivate and inspire younger pupils and help them to set/reach their goals. With a limited amount of NUHOPE’s and outstanding attendance I feel as if I would be an ideal example of how younger students are expected to be once they have arrived at Mossley Hollins. I am a very organised person and I am very dedicated to my school work, this helps younger students know what is expected. I have received multiple positive pupil and learning awards throughout my 4 years at Mossley Hollins and have been a pupil leader in year nine and ten. I consider myself to be a friendly, sociable person who other people would find easy to approach as I am mature and helpful towards younger students. I also have voluntary experience of working with younger children which would give me an advantage if I became a peer tutor. I feel this has helped me to develop my interpersonal skills which are essential in this role. While volunteering with young children I was able to develop my communication and listening skills while developing young children’s social and interactive skills through team work and other various activities. I have the ability to listen, understand, question, clarify and give constructive feedback when necessary. I was also able to understand how different children need to be treated and how patience and tolerance is key.
I have younger siblings who are aged ten and seven who I pick up from school and look after for a couple of hours almost every
