To whom is may concern:
I am writing in response to your recent job posting for entry level Firefighter, for the City of Providence. I have recently graduated from Penn Foster with a Diploma in Fire Science Administration, and feel that with my knowledge and education makes me an excellent candidate for the position. As stated in the job posting, this position is responsible for: emergency medical care, fire suppression duties and any other needs of the public. As a teenager I was interested in the fire service, joining as a volunteer recruit. Having volunteered for many years on the fire department has developed my knowledge and skills. Attending Penn Foster has helped me develop the skills that are necessary to become a Firefighter. Along with the skills acquired from everyday life and coursework through Penn Foster, I am a very hard worker; I have a team oriented work ethic; I work well under pressure; and I have great communication skills. If given an opportunity, I know that you won’t be disappointed. I know that I would be a very valuable employee with the Providence Fire Department.

Ashley,

My Boss, Mr. Lombardi has a position open as his assistant. He is looking for an assistant to help manage and coordinate sales. The pay is decent and the benefits are great. As a former sales clerk and cashier you have the skills needed for this position, from your interaction with costumers, your business degree from CCRI, and your organizational skills you will out perform the other employees here. I encourage you to apply seeing this is a Monday-Friday position and you won’t have to work weekends. Ashley, although you are sometimes modest about your skills, this is the step up you deserve. I really hope you decide to pursue this position, please call Mr. Lombardi so I can put in a good word.

I would think that have to choose MySQL would be the best fit for Wild Wood Apartments. It may run higher in query testing but the overall processes and structure would work better for a small to medium size company. It meets all the requirements that the Wild Wood Apartments has for operating systems, table and row size, Much of MySQL's appeal originates in its relative simplicity and ease of use. This will be necessary for people who are not use to using this type of system.…

I got the idea because my cousin and I were playing a game where you had to multitask. So that’s how I came up with the idea. I thought that the kids would be the best at multitasking because since all the kids are still in school they might know more. I conducted the experiment by first gathering my subjects and my materials. Then I explained to all of my subject what they were going to do, I started the experiment and wrote everything they did during the test. Finally wrote all the data on the data table. The result was adults were the best at…

The first story that came to mind when I started thinking about conflict was “Big Black Good Man”. At first, with the way the story starts, it seems like the protagonist is going to be Olaf and the antagonist is going to be Jim. The narrator paints Olaf out to be this nice, older man, who loves his wife and looks after his sailor tenants like they are his children. Then, in walks Jim. And Olaf’s first thought is “he was staring at the biggest, strangest, blackest man he’d ever seen in all his life.” Olaf was frightened and felt weak and puny compared to Jim. Jim proceeds to ask for a room for about five or six days. Once Olaf hands him a key to the room, he notices how large Jim’s hands are and that he could kill him with one blow. Olaf then shows him to his room and Jim says, “I wants a bottle of whiskey and a woman, can you fix me up?” Olaf says “yes”, he was used to doing that for his other tenants. He hesitates, but when he gets back to his office his calls up Lena to have her come over for Jim. When she arrived he made sure to tell her how big and black Jim was, Lena just said she could handle him. After that, for the entire time Jim stayed there he requested Lena every night. On the sixth night Jim comes in to Olaf’s office commands him to “stand up!” Olaf is paralyzed, he thinks Jim is about to attack him and maybe even kill him. Slowly, Olaf stands up and Jim circles his fingers around Olaf’s neck. Not closing, but massaging gently, moving back and forth. Then Jim starts to laugh and Olaf says, “Please don’t hurt me.” And in turn, still laughing, Jim says, “I wouldn’t hurt you, boy” and then leaves. Olaf falls to his chair and starts to cry, he thought believes Jim was mocking him and showing how easily he could kill him. After that he dreamed about revenge. A year later Jim is back, and Olaf thinks he has his chance at revenge at last. But, Olaf was wrong all along. The reason Jim had put his…

Between 600 and 1450 CE., trade and exchange continually remained important and influential in around Eurasia and as well as in the Mexica society. Trade and exchange were main ideas that were both useful and necessary for success during this time. In Eurasia the use of the Silk Road and the Indian Ocean were both used as important trade routes. The Monsoons in the Indian Ocean were able to widen their agricultural standpoint allowing them to trade internally not only with their new goods but also with specific regions and their goods. In the Mexica society, surrounding territories had to pay a tribute to the Aztec capital and also had traded with surrounding areas. In the Islamic empires, goods such as cotton and spices were traded which were a continuous trade, in addition to the use of the Silk Road and the Indian Ocean, however, this led to new inventions, which then created the Aztec empire and later the crusades.…

I am applying for the position of medical receptionist at Cooper, Wolowitz, and Associates at your Ephrata location. I am most interested in applying for this position with your office for the weekly hours, salary package, sign-on bonus, and medical benefits package. The office hours are great being Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm and one Saturday a month 7am to 3pm. The salary package is pretty inviting with $13.50 an hour, Holiday pay for all major holidays worked, and 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment. The sign-on bonus of $1,500.00 after 6 months of employment is an added plus. The medical benefits package consisting of medical, Dental, vision, and workman’s compensation is also an added plus being extremely affordable. Secondly, I became very motivated and excited to work in the Medical Administrative field because of a family member whom I was very close to. My Great-Aunt was a very positive and influential person in my life who taught me to follow my dreams and always stop to help others. She always taught me that the medical field was a growing and awarding field to work within which ever branch you decided to work in. My Great-Aunt always said “To work with in the medical field in any aspect will always fill your heart and life with joy.” This has always stuck with me as I grew up and when it came to deciding which path to take in life I always thought back to what she said. I realized I would love to be in the medical field because I love working with growing families, our aging population, different kinds of other people, and mainly because I love the office aspect of the field. I feel I would be a vital asset to your team of office workers because I am very good with computers, well organized/detail oriented, an effective communicator, and work very well with others.…

Passage: “He noticed the children less and less. He was hardly a father except in the vocational sense, as a potter with clay to be molded. Their individual laughter he couldn’t recognize, now their anguish. He never saw how Adah chose her own exile; how Rachel was dying for the normal life of slumber parties and record albums she was missing. And poor Leah. Leah followed him like an underpaid waitress hoping for the tip. It broke my heart. I sent her away from him on every pretense I knew. It did no good.”…
