DESIGN BUILD PROJECT SCOPE

PROJECT INTRODUCTION

Background
Penny Store is a franchise of convenience stores which will be opening their new store in Kitchener, Ontario. Penny Store will be the first 24-hour convenience store that is more like an big dispensing machine than the traditional store.
The store is to be built in space of 3200 sq. feet. The store expects to capture market share by becoming the low-cost leader in the convenience store industry by reducing labour expanses. Because of fully automated shopping experience, customers have the chance of shopping every item at reduced price. The store is opening

Performance scores from previous work: The criteria for determining the performance score would be based on quality of work done by contractor in previous projects and will get following points:
10 or more-year experience: 15 points
5 to 10-year experience: 10 points
1 to 5-year experience: 5 points

2. Bid Price: the contractor’s bid price with respect to client’s price will be evaluated as:
Same as client’s price- 10 points
5% to 10% more than client’s price- 2 points
1% to 5% more than client’s price- 8 points

3. Technical: The contractor must fulfill all the technical requirements required for the project and experienced to perform them for the completion of the project.

4. Qualification: Based on the experience of contractor’s team will be awarded 5 points. This also involve other factors which indicates which team is

3. Construction sites will be limited to the smallest feasible area. Ground disturbance and site management Should be carefully controlled to prevent undue damage to community and prevent noise pollution. Staging is limited in or near the construction area for a construction office or trailer. If used (provided by the contractor), all temporary water, sewer, sanitary facilities and electric utilities, shall be completely removed upon project completion.
4. Submission must be limited to an executive summary, not more than 25 pages of text.
5. Construction zones shall be fenced to avoid any damage to the community.
6. Parking of vehicles shall be limited to existing roads, in legally designated areas, and within approved staging area.
7. Proponents may be required to make a presentation and to be interviewed by selection team.
8. Documents can be prepared in either metric or imperial measure.
9. The information submitted by proponents will be used to evaluate capabilities and qualifications of the team.
10. The working hours for the project will be 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday. Some occasional work on Sundays will be
