People are not good at heart. People have a choice to be good at heart but the sad reality is that a lot of people choose to make bad choices, they choose to hurt other people. During the holocaust more than 6 million jews were killed, for no reason and without any warning. In the book, Meip says “we have 5 mins to collect our stuff. ”This shows that people are not good at heart because the Franks and all of the people living in the annex at the moment are good people and they are getting tortured for no reason and barely have time to get their stuff. Also, in the movie, the germans came and took on innocent people to the concentration camps, so they can get tortured to death. This is also why people are not always good at heart. If they even had a little bit of good in them, the germans wouldn’t go out and torture innocent people for their beliefs. During this hard time, they wouldn’t stop no matter how bad the condition is. At the camps, people were crying, moping, and dying, and they wouldn’t give in a little. Therefore, people are not good at heart if their job is to watch people die.
