people who influence you the most

The two people that have influenced my life the most are my parents. They are the ones that get to know us the best for who we really are, from our fortitudes to our imperfections. They have the greatest influence in our lives because they are the people we see the most and have known the longest. They forgo a lot of bliss in order to give their children the best possible. I know I could not live without them because they inspire me so much.
First, I know that my mother has influenced me in a great number of ways. My mother has taught me about comfort. She’s always there for me and makes me feel comfortable even in odd situations. My mom has taught me about courage. She’s gone through a lot in her life, but she always keeps a positive attitude about it all. She has never stopped doing what is right for me. My mom also taught me about faith. She’s never given up on me. I’ve failed many times, but my mother has always believed in me. Lastly, my mom has taught me about life. She gave me life and she wants me to live it to the best of my ability. My mom has influenced me to have an open heart to everyone and without her I don’t think I would be as caring or loving to people as I am today. Secondly, I know without a shadow of a doubt, that my father is an influential person in my life. He is more than just my dad. He is my father figure, my mentor, and I’m proud to say my friend. He is warm, loving, firm, and straightforward. My dad is a man of his word; no one can take that from him. He is a strict and overprotective man. I’ve kicked and fuzzed many nights during my teenage years because he would not allow me to go out with my friends. But he taught me how to be honest, confident and most importantly respectful to others and myself. He is a humble hardworking man who loves his family unconditionally. Education has always been a big deal for him, he has always found fun and exciting ways for me to learn whether it’s studying for a quiz or just simply doing homework. My father can be a bit intimidating but when you get to know him, he’s nothing but a sweetheart. Having him throughout my childhood was great, and I definitely would not be the person I am today without him. I know that because of my father I’ve grown confident in myself, and I try my best in everything I do.

My parents have influenced my life and helped make me what I am today. Respect, Commitment, and moral values are just some of the principles they have implanted in me, as I grew older. But I still have a long way to go if I want to be as strong as my mother and as wise as my father. I now realize that all their actions in the past to correct my misbehaviour were not pointless, but only to lead me in the right direction.
