Aim
My aim is to increase my cardiovascular fitness, to improve my muscular endurance and to be more agile at the end of my PEP. To do this I have designed a 6 six week personal exercise plan using circuit training as my chosen method of training which can cover all of my components of fitness to help me improve at tennis.

I have chosen tennis as I have been doing since I was 7 and I want to do at competitive level so I want to improve on all of these components of fitness’ as I need them to play tennis well at a high standard.
I currently play tennis at the Wimbledon and I’ve club competitions there including the U12 and U14 boys singles there. I also play against other people similarly ranked to me, for school and occasionally at tournaments. So after I complete my 6-week I aim to have improved on the physical side of tennis to help me become an overall better player.
Why I chose my Components of fitness’
Cardiovascular fitness is the ability to exercise the whole body for long periods of time. This is needed in tennis, as all body parts will be exercising during a match or just generally playing tennis. I need to improve on this COF as when it comes to the long matches for instance when it goes to the tie break and it’s at that point were I don’t have enough stamina to play to keep focused and to play strongly.
The other component of fitness is agility. This can be defined as, the ability to change direction quickly whilst under control retaining the center mass above the base of support. I need agility as one needs to move quickly and efficiently to
