* Describe the organisation’s performance management system. * Analyse the stages of the PM system against a simple theoretical performance management cycle. * Identify the roles and responsibilities of staff and employees involved in the performance management process * Evaluate how effective the performance management system is in motivating its staff, enabling its staff to improve performance and how effective the performance management system is in the delivering of business performance.
You need to research and select a business on which you can analyse its performance management system.

Introduction

The following report will be analysing and evaluating the performance management of the company B&Q. The analysis will be based on information retrieved from research that will be carried out through different sources e.g. reports. This will be broken down in sections targeting specific parts of performance management. Firstly there will be a description of B&Q’s performance management system this will entail information based how they assess performance management and how they deal with progression in work and underachievement from employees.
In addition to this the selected company’s performance management system will be marked against a general based theoretical performance management cycle.
