A. Introduction
CITY INFORMATION:
The City of Medina occupies a large peninsula projecting into the central portion of Lake
Washington on the Lake’s east shore. The city is surrounded by the City of Bellevue,
Hunts Point and Clyde Hill. The SR 520 floating bridge enters the city at the base of
Evergreen Point and bisects the north neighborhoods. Medina is a developed community that consists almost exclusively of single-family homes on individual lots.
The 2000 census places the population at 3,011 with 1,111 households.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL:
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to invite vendors to submit proposals, at their cost, for an application software package that will track parcel data and support the city’s projects and permit functions. The proposal is to replace an older software system in order to improve the city’s permit tracking and reporting systems.
The goal of the project is to procure an integrated, out-of-the-box, permits & inspections, plan review, and code enforcement system that is reliable, affordable and flexible enough to provide the City with the ability to expand its capability in the future.
The ability to include business licensing is a plus. It should provide configuration tools to enable the City to easily add new application types, custom fields, workflow, letters and business rules customized to reflect the business
