I. INTRODUCTION
Background of the study
De La Salle University – Manila, a prominent university located along the streets of the great city of Manila. De La Salle University alongside with 3 other universities just switch places amongst the top 4 universities in the Philippines. With this standing, it is only proper and right for it to screen its applicants who get in and be given the privilege to be called LaSallians. After getting the chance to enrol and study in the university, the students’ journey does not stop there, they continue on the battle on maintaining and coping up with the University’s standards.
On students’ trying to cope with university standards and maintain grades, this drives students to do almost anything just for them to pass and for many get the perfect score. May this be through sleepless nights for studying, group studies, and the most famous of them all is incentives. When Professors impose or announce to students that there will be incentives be given if a student goes to a certain event or do a certain special project.
Jumping to events, De La Sale University is a one proactive university with many student run Organizations who organize events that promotes various advocacies. These events go from talks, seminars, youth summits, or fist pumping parties. With the number of events with one market of students, how do these organizations generate participants for their events? Well, when you pass by St Joseph walk, Miguel walk, Velasco walk, or maybe Yuchengco lobby in every event’s booth there is always a matching list of incentives for different subjects and professors if one goes to that event.
