Perseverance
Are there different ways to show perseverance in different stories. There are three selections in this prompt that will be touched on. One called the lost boys that talks about Islamic law and religious freedom. Another talks about the relationship between a mother and son with the theme of life in a poem. All of these prompts have to do with perseverance in some way. All of these prompts are very different with different people yet they still come together with one word. There is a lesson to be learned about every action in these stories.
In the first prompt it talks about how the government wants to impose islamic law on all of sudan. When there is any rule over religion in any country it can be a huge issue for the many that believe …show more content…
The mother in this story says,¨ life ain't no crystal stair and don't stay on that landing¨.
What she means by the first part of this quote is that life is of course not easy to go through without any hardships. The hardships or obstacles aren't there because it is crystal clear and easy. When in real life all of these issues and hardships are there. What the mother means in the second part of the quote is that you can't stay stationary in life when stuff starts to get hard. You have to face your problems and keeps moving through life. This poem shows perseverance because you have to know to be able to face hardships. Nick Vujicic has got to be the definition of perseverance with the hardships he had to face. Just like the previous prompt Nick has to face the same hardships as everyone else with life. There is also his disability of being born with no arms or legs. He had to deal with bullying and the constant thoughts of what his purpose is. At a young age it had to have been extremely hard to not look like the other kids and not be able to do the same stuff. He has had many different issues to deal with and it is really showed in this prompt. It is made very clear in the prompt how hard he had it now he can take his hardships and be an inspiration.
