My brother Nick has been by my side since the day I was born, he has supported me and helped a lot since I came to America. He helped me learn English faster; without him i would’ve been way much slower at learning English by myself. He is not only my brother, good friend, but a role model to me as well and I look up to her eminently.
My brother has inspired me to aim for my goals, work hard at it, and achieve. He graduated Durango High School; College bound and attended ITT-TECH Institute with an aspiration to become a computer engineer. There at ITT-TECH he attended school for two years, worked exceedingly hard, and graduated. He now works at one company as a computer engineer, and he achieved his goal.
When you’re young you are told that anything is possible if you set your mind to it, or at least that’s what my mom would always tell me. But as you mature and become more sophisticated, you realize that you are in fact limited to specific opportunities based on the direction you chose to take, and the decisions you make. I personally believe that not everyone can be successful in achieving their goals, but that everyone is given the opportunity and for me it’s how hard I chose to work on achieving my goals, and how important it is to me to succeed.
My brother encourages me, and I will strive to be like him. My goal is to become a musician and programmer, it has been a passion of mine for quite a while and although my interests in careers has switched around a lot over the years, I have finally found the career path I choose to take. My goal has also always been to find a career in which I can help people no matter where I end up. I admire the people who partake in this career, because it’s not that easy.
When given the opportunity I have no doubt that I can achieve my goal, because I am ambitious, determined, dedicated, distinguished and when I set a goal for myself, I work hard to achieve it.

Over the thirteen years I’ve been alive, I have learned that nothing you want comes easily. As Milton Berle once said, “If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.” Milton’s quote has made such a huge impact on my life because it inspires me to make my own opportunities and reach for my most massive goals. For example, to become a physical therapist or a marine biologist you need a very superb education which includes, background knowledge of many different forms of math and science. When you want a good education in your future you have to work at it way before you get to college. As a middle school student involved in many athletics, I have to continue to do my best and strive for greatness. When it comes to…
