English 11 / Period 5
Davis
Personal Constitution When a man reaches a certain age, it is required for him to leave the nest and the protection of his parents’ home. Therefore, I am declaring my independence from my overbearing parents and I am no longer abiding by the rules that have been set my entire life; I will no longer abide by their corrupt rules. I will no longer reside in their house. It is an imperative separation. Upon reaching the age of 18, I will be a legal adult and responsible for my own actions. I will be declared a legal adult.
On my own I am able to make my own decisions; I can stand on my own two feet. Though decisions may turn into mistakes, which many people learn from. One will be able to drive a motorcycle. One will not have to turn his music down. One will be able to say what he wants. People will listen to him. One will not be forced to be afraid of speaking his mind. I am therefore declaring my independence from my parents due to their extensive constraints and to further protect any of my future rights. These are all the offensive actions that they have committed against me.
They have oppressed me with rules.
They have made extreme accusations.
They have unleashed the beast of unfair behavior.
They do not want to cooperate.
They want to treat others unfairly.
They have double standards.
They have not allowed me to get a motorcycle.
They have let others be lazy.
They oppress me with chores. They have way too high standards.
They want perfect children.
They don’t like my music. They don’t allow me to voice my opinion.
They do not listen unless I scream.
They want me to act like an adult but they want to continue to treat me like a clid.
They do not approve of my friends.
They don’t allow me to stay up late.
They ground me all the time.
