Personal Identity Should Be Shaped By Ideologies

A personal identity is more than just words, it is someone’s personal experiences that shape in what they value and believe in. In contrast, an ideology is a group of ideas that explain the world and how it should be ran; this may or may not reflect someone personal identity.
To some extent that personal identity should be shaped by ideology. Ideologies can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the ideas.

Most ideologies are adopted to people, not created. Factors that contribute to personal identity such as family or gender, come from an ideology. Societies with different ideologies may place “gender roles” on individuals. Some of these ideologies treat men and women differently, for example Canada use to treat women more less significant than men.
