Personal Narrative: A Career As A Physician

My pursuit to become a physician began with a cupcake. One Halloween in the fifth grade, I had just finished giving cupcakes to the teachers in my school. With no more cupcakes left, an assistant teacher asked if I had a cupcake for her. Without thinking, I quickly ran to my classroom, grabbed my cupcake off my desk, and handed it to her. Her face lit up. Later that day the assistant called my home to thank me. She had diabetes and on that day, she had forgotten her lunch at home and was not feeling well.
