One thing I would go back in time and change in history would be slavery. I would change slavery because it’s not right to use people to do work for you, or at all. That’s still why there are maids today because people are too lazy to do their own work. Slavery caused people to become lazy and not actually put any effort in or to work hard,
If there wasn’t slavery people would know the true meaning of work, work harder on things that need to be done, and know that working is necessary.
Another reason I would go back in time and change slavery in history is because it would have us be more united. Slavery caused white people to think Indians or African Americans are lower than they are. This also caused segregation between whites and African Americans, or a.k.a colored people to the whites. Whites thought only they deserved and should have the best quality stores, restaurants, even bathrooms and water fountains. White people thought they were cleaner, healthier, and the “better” race.
The second thing I would go back in time and change in history would be segregation. I would go back in time and change segregation because people now wouldn’t still be racist or at least racism wouldn’t be as high as it is now. If it never would’ve happened everyone wouldn’t see the difference, and there wouldn’t be as many racist stereotypes that aren’t true. People wouldn’t care who you’re with because of the color of their skin or their race. Some places still don’t allow people of different races to marry or have babies or else it’s frowned upon. If segregation never happened that still wouldn’t be happening to this day.
Another reason I would go back in time and change segregation in history is because the world could’ve been more advanced to this point in time sooner. If we never excluded people because of their race we could’ve used their ideas as well and make more advances in technology, and other fields of study. They could have amazing and very high quality ideas but because of segregation, they didn’t allow other races to give ideas because they would think that the others aren’t smart enough and reject the ideas.
The things I would go back in time to change in history are slavery and segregation. Slavery, segregation, and racism were a major downfall in history. If those things were avoided then maybe today we’d be more advanced and know how to work hard instead of being lazy. In conclusion, slavery and segregation are two things I would go back in time and change in history.
