Personal Narrative: A Perfect Zombie Killing Machine
My destination is clear as I run down the hallways and hear the skin crawling screams of those who are being taken over by the undead dark side. I am almost the only one left who hasn't been infected with the skin decaying disease that turns these normally segragated halls into a battle between a united pack of compulsive brain munching zombies and a single misfit, geeky teen. Where am I going do you ask? The only place a proper zombie killing machine would be running to. The science room. Chemicals, fire, gas, and tools sound like the perfect combination for making a safe haven. Plenty of supplies to make traps through the infested hallways. The only obstacle are the zombies in the room. That's when my plan of attack comes in. I only have

Second, always aim for the head. PERIOD! And that’s final and here’s why. In theory only the brain is truly reanimated in a zombie, therefore, if you 'kill' the brain, you kill the zombie. This is why you can shoot a zombie in the head, provided you can shoot the right area of the brain, or just shoot it off with a high-powered gun. Managing to hit the right part of the brain can be tricky business; you can 'kill' the motor functions which would render the body useless, but if you don't hit the right area, you can also do minor things to the zombie; blind him for example. This is why using a shotgun or a high-power gun is the most effective way to kill a zombie by shooting it in the head. These types of guns generally will take off all if not part of the face, ensuring you manage to hit the right area of the brain. Third thing you want to do is run to your nearest…

Zombies have taken over. They dominate television shows, movies and anything else related to pop culture and have become increasingly more popular as the years progress. Whether it’s a mob of zombies sucking the brains out of a helpless victim on the big screen or zombies terrorizing families on television shows, it is hard to ignore the gory entourage. Fans of zombie lore generally fall into two categories: those who are attracted to the popularity of zombies and see them as purely amusement and those who not only are amused by zombies, but can also see the possibility of fiction becoming reality. The possibility of a zombie apocalypse is very real and terrifying; and most of the population simply wouldn’t survive. No one is safe. Now is the time to prepare and learn about the potential threat and to ensure--above all else-- survival.…

Forget what you remember about your slow, shambling, rotting, flesh-eating corpses, also known as zombies. What used to be bland, boring, and not that scary are now taking the place of the “sparkly love-struck vampire” and the hugely terrifying beast of a werewolf. Thus evolving in pop culture. Zombies, from the standards that we remembered were these slow, staggering and moaning undead that could not run or jump, they could not open doors nor did they have any sense of self-awareness. But through the years these standards have changed and modified and we are left with a whole new line of zombies, many of them very dangerous. In the event of a Zombie Apocalypse one of the first things we would need to know is what type of zombie we are dealing with, your typical slow moving Romero Zombies, the more dangerous, scary, and fast Berserkers, or the “new” Self-Aware Zombie.…

My mother, sister, and I were driving down Highway 124 on a hot July day when my mom screamed and slammed on the breaks. Fear rushed through our bodies. Outside the car window, a short young African American man was launched into the air. As he came down, a loud boom sounded as his body helplessly rolled off the hood of the faint green Toyota Corolla in front of us. The man lay motionless in the road while we waited for what seemed like hours for the driver to exit the car. His red shirt and gym shorts were ripped. The driver of the opposing car threw the vehicle in reverse in a spasmodic action in an attempt to end the man’s life. The injured man made an effort to crawl onto the Wendy’s sidewalk, forcing his body up on the curb to evade the car. The driver drove up onto the curb and blew its tire, just barely missing the wounded man. Realizing the driver would stop at nothing, my mother drove her white suburban in front of the car, blocking the violent perpetrator from doing any further damage.…

Many people all over the world have had endure in one-way or another the brutality of senseless killers. The pain that these people cause to their victims and the victim’s family is for the most part, an aspect that many individuals do not completely understand. Consequently, the reasons behind my curiosity to find out more about these murderers developed whenever I could not make myself kill a cricket wondering in my house; I felt so bad for the poor insect. However, the following questions then aroused: What makes killers behave the way they do? What facts, aspects, and researched evidence are out there for us to comprehend the mind of a killer? I curl up in a corner of my tank and wait I know something is going to happen. I have a suspicion of what is going on. The zombie apocalypse began just over five years ago. I have kept track of the seasons since the day I realized I couldn’t do much else. Humans must have built this place when it first began but i wonder why all of us weren’t put in this eden. They might have begun a cure program and that might explain why the other zombies don’t resemble the rest of us. I began wonder if that is possible when a guy in a lab coat comes in.…

All my life I have imagined different crazy scenarios that would never occur, but sounded amazing in my head. From being a sword fighter in the older days, to traveling through space with a Wookie and a man. These various stories have always been something I’ve had an interest in creating in my head. Zombies, of course, has been one of them. The first and most important thing would be going for a weapon. Obviously, you don’t want something too loud, as it would alert the other zombies around, but you also don’t want something that would be time consuming to take out if there were multiple around. That’s where Michonne had the best choice in the Walking Dead, a samurai sword. Next, would be a metal canteen, as to be able to boil the water if needed. Next would be some sort of fire starter using flint to allow for very long use of it. The next item would be some sort of pack or bag so that incase of danger at any point I could grab that with all my items in it and get away as fast as possible.…

As I was writing my personal narrative for my composition 1 class, it easily made my mind boggle. After I had got started on my personal narrative, it was easy for me to keep writing and keep following along the story line. The main strength of mine that the essay played to was my creativity and my flexibility for different writings, because I have never written an essay as serious and sad as this one, but I did have to add my happy ending when I finished the story. I wanted it to be very attention grabbing with a twist, but I also wanted it to be very emotional.…
