Personal Narrative-Abandoned High School
Walking through the abandoned high school hallways was even scarier at night, especially with the news that had gone all around about two teens who were found dead in our school parking lot three weeks ago. To this day the killer is still on the run, nowhere to be found. Quickly I head towards my car and at the same time feel a cold shiver go up my spine, I try to ignore it. I realize itś a Friday the day when most teens head out to the cabin hidden deep within the woods to have some fun. My friend Grace and brother Caleb were going so why shouldn’t I ? Heading towards the cabin I keep remembering about that tingly sensation on my back giving me the chills it felt as if a spider had crawled all over me. “ No , just ignore it” I kept telling myself over and over. When I returned to my five senses I realized I had already passed the cabin, quickly I made a U-turn and coincidentally the car behind me did too. It didn't bother me much until after having driven for 10 minutes the same car was trailing me! I realized the driver was following …show more content…

I had to dig deep for this! Dig deep to figure out what big problems I faced throughout these past years. It wasn't easy for me because I faced many difficulties throughout my life. Then I remember a time in my first 2 years of high school. I was oblivious. Confuse about my future. Whether I wanted to do something after high school. I have to admit school wasn't my priority in freshman year. I wouldn't get the best grade, but they weren't the worst either. All I cared about is having friends. Then something hit me. Seeing all these seniors not graduate on time. Seeing many kids struggle financially after high school. I eventually notice that those who go to college succeed more. Especially being a minority it's extremely difficult to succeed…

Throughout my life, I experienced many events that would make most people unable to function socially, emotionally, or academically. These events include two divorces, five house relocations, and a transfer to a new high school during senior year. I consistently failed assignments and could not stay focused during class as my . Most teenagers would have given up here as the disappointment from both their parents and teachers would have destroyed their hopes for a successful future. However, this anguish became a catalyst for what would become a significant restructuring in both my demeanor towards schoolwork and my perspective on the future. Against all odds I was able to bounce back from the discouragement I had faced. I believe that this…

I was a percussionist during my high school tenure. As a school musician during my freshman year, I was in the high school band at both Northwest Christian and Dayton Christian. I went to Northwest during the first two quarters of my freshman and the high school band only had one concert, Then, I switched over to Dayton Christian during the last two quarters of my freshman year. The Dayton Christian High School Band was much larger than Northwest’s and performed two concerts, one at the Dayton Christian Cafeteria, and one out at Cedarville University. During my sophomore year at Dayton Christian, I was part of the high school band and the pep band. I was a bass drummer during pep band season; we performed at a stadium in Monroe every home football…

When I started Unity High School I thought that we were going to get a lot of work from my classes, and that work was going to be extremely hard. I also thought that I wasn't going to have any free time to do anything because of that, but it turned out to be wrong because the teachers give us a good amount of work but its not really hard. I thought that making friends in Unity would be hard in a sort of way but it was quit easy because everyone else was trying to make friends too. When I first got to Unity I also thought that there was going to be a few school clubs, but there is a good amount of clubs that students can join if they want to join some type of club. I think as a person I have grown more since first coming to Unity because I…

Asheville School is terrific, and my favorite parts are the campus, boarding, and the athletics. Asheville School has an very old beautiful campus. This school has a large campus with brick buildings. The campus has been around since 1900. This school is a boarding school. This means for an extra cost, you can rent and live on campus in small dorms. Because of this, if I have friends that live on campus I am allowed to sleep in their dorms if I need to. Asheville School also has a awesome athletics program. They have football, soccer, baseball, basketball and many other sports. There is also mountaineering which is a bunch of different activities such as rock climbing, white water kayaking and mountain biking. I really like Asheville School…

Failure is the state of not meeting an objective, and is normal for people to face throughout there life. I can speak on experience an event that had happened this past summer. After finals when my school had sent out final report cards, it was sad to see that my final average in my US History course did not meet the requirements to continue to the next grade. From there I had two options: to go to summer school and pass so that I may continue school at the academy or transfer schools and repeat my junior year of high school. With these two options I decided that it would be best to go to summer school and put all I had into the class so that I may pass. Sadly this failure had affected my life more than expected. I could no longer take part…

Walking into high school freshman study hall, I felt a rush of nervousness and slight embarrassment when I asked for help from a tutor. Within a few minutes, I was assigned to a senior named Yingxu who spoke very little English. As we searched through my endless pile of worksheets and notes, Yingxu patiently waited to see the math problems I was having a tough time with. She helped me change the way I approached math problems. With her assistance, I learned more in one afternoon than an entire week of class. Yingxu was a math genius, but the most important lesson she really taught me was I had the power to solve any problem on my own.…

As a upcoming sophomore and old freshman, I have completed one year of school at University Heights High School. Last year, as a freshmen, I feel as though I did a substandard job. While I did pass all my classes, and completed most of the work, I feel as though I procrastinated a lot which impacted the grades I got. I feel as though if I hadn't waited to the last minute to complete most of my assignments, I could have analyzed and corrected a lot of silly mistakes and spelling errors. These errors and mistakes, eventually accumulated during time and made me get lower grades. This year, as a sophomore, I am determined to do…

This placement in alternative school is fair.It makes me feel better to be in this alternative school rather than get kicked out of school.…

When I first moved to Pinellas Park from Hillsborough County about seven years ago, I was upset. I was upset that we were leaving behind a perfectly good house with perfectly good friends to move closer to my extended family. I wondered why we were changing when change wasn’t needed? It was time for a new school, new house, and worst of all, it was time to make new friends. As several years past by, I realized they made one of the best decisions ever because if I hadn’t moved, I would’ve have never found the hidden gem called St. Petersburg Collegiate High School. I still remember my freshman year at Pinellas Park High School like it was yesterday. I did not take my classes seriously and thought school was not important, it was just a place…

High School was a great experience. Not only did it teach me about Math, History and English, but it also taught me about choices and consequences. I had several close friends who did not get the same experience that I did. One of my friends had a rough start in life. At the end of our junior year she became pregnant with her first child. We started our senior year ready to celebrate our high school years coming to an end. She had so many plans for after high school. As the school year went on she expressed to me how her child father was being very supportive at first, but recently felt that he was no longer treating her the same.…

I look forward to your class and hope to gain a lot of knowledge not only in the world of literature, but also work on many soft skills, mainly public speaking. The thing that I am most looking forward to this year is finishing out my last year of high school on a high note. That may be getting high grades in my classes or getting to know my friends or teachers even better. The thing that I am dreading the most is the actual end of high school. That end will in a way signify the end of my childhood and will also be the last time that I will meet many of the friends that I have made in high school.…

"I have to find my sister and my brother and I should kill whoever that murderer is!", I said to myself bravely. Looking in any direction, I found a double light. I knew it was my sister and my brother and I also knew that they were going to be killed next. So I ran over to them. But I was too late, they were both killed and dead. I fell down, lying and crying unconsciously. The scene faded out.…
