Personal Narrative: Amazon Rainforest Scavenger Hunt
Jose and had recently received an email about an Amazon rain forest Scavenger Hunt. There would be 10 teams competing to take photos of animals on the list provided by the contest holders. The winners would get 4 tickets to go to Super Bowl 51. Jose told his three friends: Luis, Carlos and Zarro about the contest. “Sure, I’ll go!” said Luis. “I am so excited to start this adventure!”, said Carlos. “I would rather stay in bed as I am terrified of the Jungle!”, said Zarro. I am super scared and I will have nightmares about it!” said Zarro as he quivered in fear. “It’s a good deal because all of our plane tickets are paid for as well!”, said Jose trying to convince his friends. ”My parents will drive us to Dulles airport which is not that …show more content…
The drive was about 30 minutes and the views were splendid. “Wow! the lush green forests are spectacular and breath taking! ,” said Zarro. When they arrived at the location ,there was a banner that said, “ Welcome to the Scavenger Hunters!” When all the teams were at the meeting place, a man in an Indiana Jones costume spoke to all the ten competing teams.” “Hello everyone!, My name is Carl Davis and I used to be a photographer for National Geographic Magazine. But, when I retired,I decided to run a contest that will allow youth to see the beauty of nature and this year I am so excited to start the competition in the Amazon Rain forest!”. Teams have to find all the animals on their check list in the jungle. They will need to take pictures of the animals and they need to be back at the same location where the competition started. “I know that Jaguars have a variety of choices of food deer,capybara, tapirs, peccaries, dogs, foxes, and sometimes even anacondas and caiman so I know where and how to lure a deer.” Said Carlos first I need Zarro to get a shrub and hide in it while Luis chased a deer down to a shrub. Then that moment a Jaguar approached and Jose shot the photo at the last minute “Yes!” Luis shouted as he crossed of Jaguar on the list. The group came back just in time for the moment of truth. It happens to be that Jose’s team won because they found all the animals and found the hard animal now Jose will be going home dreaming about super bowl 51.
