Now I was going to get to be one of those people. I looked at the map my dad gave to me of the parkway and noticed that there were many pull-offs that held trails, waterfalls, campgrounds, and picnic areas. I was so curious that I quickly asked my dad if we could go to them. He enthusiastically agreed. We hiked multiple scenic trails across the Blue Ridge Mountains. The experience gave me a closer look at the beautiful mountain wilderness. Most importantly the experience gave me the time of my life and an unforgettable experience. I now have a new outlook and a fresh perspective. I was able to see what made this place a national treasure and why my dad loved it so much.
