Personal Narrative: Defining Heritage
I want to start with defining heritage and how I view this aspect of many people’s lives. I see it as a part of the culture that we live in, and every part of it is unique. In other words, heritage is different for everyone even if one is a part of the same culture, religion, ethnic background. Therefore, heritage has a different meaning to every single person. I don’t have the adverse ethnic background that most people do, I would say that I am a part of the traditional southern family. Which is a part of me that I want to share and how my environment around me effected the lifestyle that I love.

Dee becomes frustrated when Mama refuses to let her inherit the butter churn, the dasher, and the two quilts.
