Response: It is extremely sad and unfortunate that this chain of events occurred for the mother and child, but I feel their privacy wasn’t exposed negatively through these pictures. I understand why some readers would take offense to the pictures and complain, but I don’t think the editors were in the wrong in this situation; these images can help show and etch the images of danger in to people's minds so that they are more careful in their own lives.…

The Fury, the fastest, longest, and tallest rollercoaster on the East Coast. With a top speed of 95 mph and a height of 325 feet makes it the biggest rollercoaster I had ever gotten on, beating the Intimidator 305 by 25 feet. I remember seeing on television and wanting to ride it really badly. It just looked so amazing and since I love rollercoasters and love riding rollercoasters, I knew it was something I had to do. I had ridden lots of rollercoasters before this one such as the Intimidator 305 and the Top Thrill Dragster, which I had enjoyed riding very much, and I figured that the Fury would be just as good. So I asked my parents of we could go to the Carrowinds to ride the Fury. They said yes and we went with my aunt to the Carrowinds.…

Climbing into the lime green car, my fear was over taking me. I was getting ready to ride the Titan, an adrenaline pumping roller coaster ride at Six Flags. It was easily the scariest ride at the park, in my opinion, with its enormous peaks, its deep descents, and double helix like turns was enough to make me sick. The ride began. Ascending up in the car on the canary yellow track, into the humidity filled, bright sky, the people observing from below resembled little army ants . The aerial view of Dallas was breathtaking, as I reached the peak of the ride and looked around. Passengers occupying the cars in front of me started falling off, like a cliff. I let out a high-pitched shrill, as we plummeted toward the Earth below. Traveling…

I remember the day vividly: the sizzling of food frying, children yelling, my tears running, it was the first time I adventured to Six Flags. The uneasiness of my stomach while swaying tens of feet from the ground on the Texas Giant petrified the adventurous spirit out of me. However, I did not realize that moment `would shape the next eight years of life, emerging in my memory at every unfamiliar experience I faced. It was my senior year when I declined an invitation to go camping with my friends an epiphany struck me. How many of these opportunities was I going to skip out on due to my reluctant manner?…

The little exhausted 6 year old girl, running through crowds of people and in circles looking for her mom or just familiar faces. From riding the Mine Digger roller coaster, slipping away from my cousin for a quick snack, eventuality became separate from the group, then found by Daffy Duck and rescue by my cousin. I returned back from vacation this week and it was nice to see all the children’s smiling faces. The parent’s express how they missed me as well as their children. This makes me love my job even more. This week there was a two year old child who had a seizure at the center; this was scary for the children, staff, as well I. 911 had to be called out to the center. We all have had CPR and first aid training so we were comfortable with handling the case until the ambulance reached us. However, we were not so prepared when the child stopped breathing. This was a learning experience, but I do not want to do it again. I want all my children safe and happy. I had to ride with the child to the hospital till her mother was reached and notified what…

It was a sunny day and my mom finally let my older sister and I go to Six Flags alone. Little did I know, we weren’t going to make it to Six Flags at all? When I got on the CTT Bus I couldn’t wait- it would be my first time on the goliath. “Last stop everyone off” yelled the bus driver. When I got off I mentioned to my sister “This does not look like Six Flags” “I think we missed our stop and we are lost “she answered. I started to look for any thing I noticed. But all I saw was two large buildings and lots of people.…

I awoke on the morning of January 8th, 2018, to temporarily panic before I realized where I was. I was on vacation at Disney World, Florida. I opened my eyes to find the rest of my family still asleep on their various beds in our hotel room at the Caribbean Beach Resort. I sighed in happiness, and snuggled deeper into the plush sheets. I reached over the edge of my bed, pulling my charging laptop and headphones off of the nightstand. I opened my laptop as quietly as I could, in an effort not to wake my sister sleeping soundly next to me. I started checking my social media sites: Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and the like. You see, my siblings and I are YouTubers. We make YouTube videos for a living. Well, actually, not for a living. More like…

My family had always looked forward to leaving the valley during the torrid summer months. You see I never really had an actual vacation, since my father had been gone for eight long, dreadful years. He was sent away to a prison thousands of miles away, in Florida, when I was only six years old. My loving mother talked about ancient vacations we took, but I was too young to remember. My father was back home and he was as healthy as a young doctor. It was now summer of 2010, and I was ready for a family vacation. A ride to Rio Frio River is like a flight to a Caribbean getaway.…
