Personal Narrative Essay: A Work Day By Neil Samuels
This morning, after a dreamless sleep, Neil Samuels awoke, feeling refreshed. No doubt about it, he rested well.
His girlfriend still slept beside him. With lust, he looked at the nude figure and reached out to fondle one of her naked breasts.
No, he had better not. It suddenly dawned on him that today was Monday, another work day.
A time check by Neil revealed he slept late. Shit! Once again, on a work day, he slept later than he ought to. If he is late for work today, it would be his third time in three days.
After his supervisor warned him sternly about his lateness on Friday, committing himself again, one working day later, would be displaying a don’t-care attitude. Avoiding that, at this time, was paramount.

His first collision in over a decade of driving motorcycles was a fatal one, his fatality.
The driver of the car, knowing he was at fault, would have continued on his merry way, if the motorcycle had not disabled his car.
"I bet I can tell you how this happen." The officer, who had arrived on the scene, said to the shaken driver, who was attempting to get the hell away from the scene.
The driver did not respond; instead, he opened the door and stepped out of the car, staggering somewhat.
"He ran the red light, didn't he?" The officer persisted, seeking answers.
"Yes, he did." The driver lied, finally finding his voice. "I couldn't do anything to save him, and, God knows, I tried."
"He had it coming. It was just a matter of time." The officer said, shedding no tears for the late motorcyclist. "I saw him ran a couple of reds a short while ago. I know, sooner or later, he would have run one too many. It’s much sooner than I thought, though."
The driver sighed, relieved. He should take the relevant information from this motorist. In time, he knew, he would need it.
The officer turned to his traveling companion, pointed to the crumpled figure on the roadway and remarked: “You were right my dear. He was indeed in a hurry to meet his
