It was a cold Saturday morning. My dad and I were heading to a softball and baseball clinic called elite. I had a feeling that I did not really get this feeling this often.;;; I had butterflies in my stomach. I had my All Star shirt on. I also had my high red socks on with my black softball pants.
We were at elite. Finally what felt like an eternity, we were there.
“Ready ava.” My dad said in a happy voice.
“Yep always ready” I replied.
I ran into my friend Jamison. All of a sudden somebody calls warm up. I had to of course or else I would pull something.
The first thing we did is karaoke. Then …show more content…
we jogged.
After all of that commotion me and Jamison were playing catch,we were playing catch when all of a sudden my heart was beating so fast and I felt so worried it felt like I was about to have a heart attack.;;;;
We played catch for a good 15 minutes.Wow;;; I was very surprised when I saw that 15 minutes went by.
It was my favorite time.
We were about to run the bases. I knew how fast I was compared to Jamison. She was one of the fastest girls I knew.
I was 2nd in line, I never thought in a million years that my ankle started to hurt, I had to stretch a little bit my ankle.We were running to first base. As soon as the first girl went it was my turn. I sprinted as fast as I could, I couldn't stop…..as I approached the base my cleat caught the grave my collarbone landed weird on the base and it felt like broke.. . My dad came sprinting over to me. My face felt like a waterfall was over my face.
Before I knew it my dad was carrying me to the car when he told me that everything will be fine, but nothing was fine.
As we came to a stop at the hospital, I felt like it was the end of the world.
We walked in when suddenly the took me to a room which was dark with x rays everywhere. They had me sit down. They did a quick x ray and had me sit in a room which looked big. My heart couldn't stop beating.
After what felt like 5 hours they came back with the result that I broke my collarbone. Now that I am older and I look back at that moment I always look at my collarbone and wonder if it looked different than my other collarbone, I also feel stronger from that
moment.
