Together they discuss and recall their adventures and crazy childhood. It starts off with Rusty playing pool at Benny's when he hears that Biff Wilcox, a tuff gangster wants to kill him because he swore at Biff's girlfriend. Rusty acts real cool about it and pretends not to care. He goes to Patty's house, his girlfriend, and she pleads him not to fight anymore and he's just like this is the last one, but she doesn't believe him anyway. After that he goes to the parking lot where the fight is taking place. He sees his friends there and he also sees Biff's friends there. He counts the people and makes sure no one brought any weapons just like his brother, the motorcycle boy taught him to do just before a fight. They start cussing each other out and then the fight starts, while everyone else watches. Biff pulls out a blade and this makes the fight unfair. But still Rusty manages to take him down and knocks the crap out of him. While Biff is on the floor Motorcycle Boy walks in the middle of the fight and gets pissed of at his little brother. While Rusty is distracted Biff gets up and cuts Rusty on his side above his hips. Motorcycle boy gets angry by seeing this so he breaks Biff's wrist and leaves him lying there. All of Biff's friends abandon him when Motorcycle Boy arrives, as he is sort of the legend of the town because he used to be the leader of the former gang of the neighbourhood called…

"France has lost the battle. But France has not lost the war."- Charles de Gaulle. That is a quote I go by as I stand here at the Soccer Academy. I have a memory that really has affected me. That one really embarrassing moment. I have lost my soccer game eleven to four. Those numbers affect the way I play now even though it was about a month ago.…

The stands were already getting packed and the crowd getting louder as we all walked off of the buses and into the locker rooms of Doc Harris. Inside it was as quiet as a library. My teammates quickly started to strap their gear on and do what was necessary to prepare for one of the biggest games of the season. As I did the same, I thought back to that week of practice and remembered that most of the players that played varsity at my defensive position were hurt and a big part of me hoped that this would be my chance to start in my first varsity football game, a dream that had consumed my mind since the end of the previous football season.…

By being told to quit something just because I’m not good at it. Back in my 7th grade year when I played football, I was pretty atrocious at everything basically. Trying to run routes against corners, catching, and trying to stay at 110%. I used to play Wide Receiver but they made me change positions because I didn’t try hard enough. They moved me to o-line and I was probably one of the worst players on the team. I only started one game my middle school life as a guard and all I really did was get embarrassed. Missing blocks, not pulling to get the DE, and forgetting the snap count. I didn't play football my 8th grade and my freshman year because my parents said that allergy season was gonna be awful. I was so close to not playing this year,…

It was a Friday night in mid August 1991. I was a noseguard and middle linebacker on defense, depending on the play. I also played right guard on the offensive line. This is the story of a night that could of well ended any hope of being an athlete, on any level, from this point on. I will be telling the story from the defensive side of the ball, due to that is where I was playing when I had five vertebrae, slightly, separated.…

Good Evening Mr. Forrest, this is Sean Anderson. I wanted to send this report involving the girl's basketball coach from Northeast Middle School. Me and Jason Collins were the officials at West Creek Middle School vs Northeast Middle School. The games started at 4:45. During the second game, which was the girl's basketball game, my partner Jason Collins made a ruling against Northeast in the 4th quarter. The girl's head coach did not like the ruling and venting her frustrations toward us. She screamed" her player was not there for the foul". While I was administering the free throws I heard her screaming and gave her the stop sign signal and told her ok that's enough. I didn't administer no technical foul even though she continue…

Has there been a time a decision was made for me and I did something about it? Yes, decisions have been for me, either by parents, teachers or friends. Though I was athletic growing up, I was apprehensive of trying my luck at different sports, much less a unique one like Ultimate Frisbee. Once I started, however, I was hooked. I fell in love with the sportsmanship and the energy of the game. After playing through middle school, I was disappointed to hear that my high school didn’t have an Ultimate team. So, freshman year, I began to charter a team and made great progress until I tore the ACL in my left knee. I continued working on my club until sophomore year when I was accepted to IMSA. I had to start again. After being denied the opportunity to charter my sophomore year, I worked again through the summer. Unfortunately, I was hit with another torn ACL, this time in my right leg. After recovering…

It was April of 2014. I had a month to make my college decision and I had no idea where I was going to go. It was between three schools, and none of them really stood out from the rest. One weekend my parents decided to take me to each school to get a feel for them. After a short trip to the first school, we made our way to Blacksburg. About five hours away, Virginia Tech was the furthest school I got in to. For that reason, my mother kept on trying to persuade me to make my choice elsewhere, but as soon as I arrived on campus, the choice became clear. I needed a school that had good academics, but was big enough to be relevant in sports, and Virginia Tech met…
