Personal Narrative Essay: Who's To Blame?
“William Clarke, you’re under arrest for suspected murder”, a policeman said handcuffing him with special handcuffs for mages.

Fifteen year old Ellie was one of the best students at Magewood Academy for Girls. Ever since she was young her parents have left her in an academy to live by herself. She had become very independent at the age of eight. Ellie was a beautiful girl with dark brown eyes, tan skin, and wavy hair. She was admired by her peers and her teachers thought the best of her. The day had started out well, except for the fact that one of her classmates had been murdered. At 5 am, she woke to the sound of screaming. At the time she didn’t know what to do or think, she was frozen. Somehow, she knew exactly what was happening and she didn’t try to interfere with what was happening. So she lied there not feeling the need to help. Ellie was strange that way. No one knew that side of her and no one ever would.

The only person she showed interest in was the cook at the cafeteria, Will. They had been friends ever since he became the cook at the Academy. But today something was different, she could tell. During lunch she looked all over for Will, in the kitchen, the bathroom and in the hallway. He was nowhere to be seen. So she finally decided ask Quincy. “He was arrested this morning for being suspected for the murder”, Quincy explained. It took her a minute to comprehend what had just come out of Quincy mouth. So instead of speaking she ran out of the cafeteria and kept running until she got to the police

The guards largely have no answers for the things that K. is asking of them, simply stating that he is guilty because the Law itself is attracted to guilt. They are just “lowly employees” and implicitly believe that who they are arresting is guilty because it has been determined by “higher authorities”. They are simply disinterested with the why of his arrest and largely his guilt, affirming he is guilty among his protests of innocence. The notion that the Law itself is attracted by the guilty is strange to me. By saying that, he infers that in one way or another because K. is deemed guilty, he would end up arrested by the guards, his fate was determined the moment…
