Personal Narrative: Getting A Truck With Dual Exhaust
Have you ever heard a truck with dual exhaust? Well I have multiple times and what made me want to get it on my truck. It was December 30, 2015 (New Year’s eve eve) and it was the morning at my house. I had to be in town by 10:00 o’clock at Muffler Man to meet Josh (one of the awesome workers there), to get a new exhaust on my truck because the old one (stock) was falling apart and the truck was getting super loud! I went out to start the truck before we started to head into town and I’m guessing that because it was cold out it didn’t want to start right away. When I got it to finally start she idled really high (yes I call my truck a she, her name is Ramski. Even when she idles all you can hear her say is “Ramski, Ramski Ramski”). There we go, on our way to town. Thankfully we made it all the way into town without getting pulled over do to the fact that the truck was kind of loud once you really got on it like …show more content…
I’m sitting there watching TV when next thing I know my phone starts to ring. It was an Alpena number. I answered it and YES! It was Josh calling me to let me know that the truck was done. While we were talking I asked him how it sounded and he said, “Really good I’m sure you’ll like it.”
After I got the call, we headed over to Muffler Man to get my truck. For only being a mile or so away it felt like it took hours to get there. When we finally pulled into the driveway I could see my truck sitting just outside the door and I could also see my nice brand new shiny chrome tips. I walked into the shop to again meet Josh at the door behind the counter. I shook hands with him and talked to him a little bit. He had told me just how bad the old muffler was and that it was a good idea the I got it fixed. When we got down to business I thought this would be the bad part but I was

There are many reasons why a biker may decide to change out their exhaust system. These may include sound, appearance, or performance improvement. While the biggest difference made by a slip-on exhaust is in the sound of the bike, most slip-ons boast a modest increase in horsepower from the motorcycle's engine. While motorcycle enthusiasts might want to replace the full exhaust system, this can be a costly process. Adding a slip-on exhaust is also easier and cheaper than replacing the full exhaust system on a bike.…

My first car was a bit of a roller coaster, I had just learned to drive the year before and now it was time for me to have my own car. I would say the excitement I felt was overwhelming but even that might understate it just a little. The search began on a Sunday morning we went to several different dealerships, in search of the right mix of economy and style. Well, to be honest my mom was mostly interested in the economy part. The first dealership we went the car salesman seemed like the kind of over eager vacuum salesman you see on those old TV shows. The guy was just ridiculous, with his hair slicked back, and his slacks which were so tight he could start a fire. Every time he would show us a car I thought he was going to start a fire.…

It is illegal to drive on the wrong side of the road. Everyone that drives and anyone with common sense knows that. Martinez was due in court on September 29th for being charged with possession of ecstasy, as the article states. This wouldn’t be the first time he was placed before a judge. The article clearly gives a few of the charges on Martinez’s record such as battery, drug possession, and grand theft. This man had drugs in his possession and a record to go along with his name. That makes me wonder how exactly he got onto the expressway and if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Had he survived, I feel as though he would be charged with driving under the influence and, if his recklessness had resulted in any fatalities, vehicular manslaughter.…

It was a normal Friday in March except for the fact that I got my license. So my friends and I thought about what we were going to do now that I have my license. Well, we cruised around town thinking we were hot stuff and that we were better that most kids in school since I had my license before many of my friends. We decided that we'd go off-roading since I had the huge truck. It was a hunter green 1979 Ford F-250 Custom. It had huge 33-inch tires, a loud crackling exhaust, and a unique 2-inch thick oak plank flatbed. It really was a beast. So we roared around the backroads hitting bumps and flying into fields just causing a little mischief not doing too much harm. After a week of horsing around in the truck, we became quite bored. So we decided to do something else. We sat around pondering what to do, nothing really came to mind. So my friends and I decided to go to a girl in our class's birthday party at the local recreation center. So on the way to the party we contemplated what we'd do afterward. My friend Chris brought to our attention the he just bought a brand new paintball gun. So with that in mind, we decided that we'd cruise around after the party and shoot houses with it. So we went to the party. We danced, talked with friends, flirted around with the girls, and had an all-around good time. So at the party we discussed who and where we'd go shoot the paintballs. We unanimously chose to shoot a girl's house that we really disliked. Till this day, neither of us knows why we dislike her. But anyway, Shannon Everett was her name and her house was the target. So as the party came to a close, Chris, Sise, and I sprinted to the truck excited about the attack on Shannon's house. We speeded to Chris's house so he and Sise could change and to get the Trracer, the beautiful new gun. While waiting for them, I could only feel the adrenaline pump in my body. As Sise and Chris pounced down the stairs, Cathy, Chris's mom asked why we were all…

A tow truck (also called a wrecker, a breakdown truck, recovery vehicle or a breakdown lorry) is a truck used to move disabled, improperly parked, or otherwise indisposed motor vehicles. This may involve recovering a vehicle damaged in an accident, returning one to a drivable surface in a mishap or inclement weather, or towing or transporting one via flatbed to a repair shop or other location. This facilitates smoother traffic and saves the time. Tow trucks are usually operated by private businesses, except for major highways and toll roads, where the road authority may operate the tow trucks for that stretch of road. Some police departments own tow trucks, but in the US it is common to contract police tows to private companies. Businesses…

The heat in my purple ‘99 Dodge Dakota had never worked. It was something I left the house prepared for every morning. Although I was wearing my fleece sweats, a hoodie, and my men’s down puffy coat, I was vibrating. It took a handful of years, but I had done it again. I rear-ended the Chevy ahead of me at the intersection of Lake Otis and O’Malley. After checking on me to make sure I was okay, the man from the Chevy made his way back to his truck to wait with his wife till the police arrived. After he…

When I was younger I didn't have much to do. Since my school gave me a deficient amount of homework, I would be bored most of the day. Then one Christmas my mom gave me a miniature remote controlled car. The car was a crimson sports car with charcoal flames running down either side. On the rear of the car was a pitch-dark spoiler with a red line streaming down the middle. There were small rubber spikes all over the tires built for traction. However, the main thing that made me love the car was that there were small lights in the spoiler. Some odd reason those lights made me attracted to the car. Now that i'm older I think it was probably because they were shiny. Without the car I would have hated 1st grade, but it kept me entertained for…
