The smell of BBQ hit you in the face every time you would turn a corner. Really, BBQ was the main reason I would go to Memphis. Memphis is known for its good barbeque. There are many different places to get it there, and people have there opinions on which are best, but everyone knows who is really on top. Charlie Vegas Rendezvous Grill, world famous BBQ with an atmosphere you could not compete with. The ribs are what they are known for, no sauce, just the Memphis dry rub. Hands down the best ones I have ever had. Elvis Presley and rock play a big part in Memphis, the whole city has a street named after it. The triple A affiliation of the St Louis Cardinals. Baseball was Americas Past time, and some say the greatest game. I just happened to have season tickets there, so I got to watch a lot of baseball there. My tickets were three rows behind home plate, so I got to the see the players up close and personal, often times hearing there conversations in the dugout. The seats gave the game a more competitive edge because you really had an eye on the strike zone. You could debate the calls yourself; it gave me a more “into it” feeling. Most seasons I would not miss a home game, just because there was nothing to do at home. A quick forty five minute drive ad me sitting in my seats watching the game.
