Personal Narrative: Guys And Dolls
I have always loved music and have been involved in many shows but my favorite musical by far is “Guys and Dolls”. It was my first ever show and I fell in love with almost every part of the musical. The unique storyline, music that gets stuck in your head for days and energetic dance numbers are what makes this show great. I went to the show on Friday night and was not disappointed.
I had not seen the show in a while so I did not know what to expect but as I soon found out, I would not be let down. Almost every aspect of the show met up with the hype that I have always imagined with the show. The singing, dancing, and acting brought the show to life and made the time fly by. It also helped that I knew and have many friends who were all part

I saw the Addams Family Play in the Lunt Fontanne Theater in New York City. I came in very excited to see this play because I had seen a few other Broadways before and they were all excellent. I was also excited because Brooke Shields, who I just found out was famous for something although I wasn’t sure what, was playing Morticia. The play was the best one that I had ever seen without a doubt. I hope I get a chance to see it again.…

To be completely honest, I would have to say that majority of the acting was very mediocre. I know it wasn’t supposed to be like something off of Broadway but I expected a lot more, and I felt like only a couple of actors came through with that. The acting was not terrible, but it wasn’t spectacular either. I felt like some characters were not putting their all into their characters. I also felt like some people should not have been casted into the roles they had received. Many times a background character would outshine a main character during the performance. Pertaining to the acting, I think that the fact that it was a musical added more stress to the actors which consequently could have placed a strain on their acting abilities. This is because they were most likely more concerned with their vocals. Something I did like in their acting was the fact that they used little children, I found that very adorable.…

The shows that we went to see were really awesome! We saw a 3D mickey musical show and Donald went through the wall at the end. The Country Bears show had a lot of funny songs. There was also a show with mechanical tropical birds, whowhich talked and sang. At the end of the show, they did this magic trick where they made people disappear. I really liked the shows because I laughed a lot and heard some new songs.…

Language has played a big role in making my life successful. As senior year was ending I had a major life changing decision. I was unsure whether to pursue my passion of baseball in California, or to hang up my cleats for the last time on a high note. Although this was not a life or death decision, It was still a decision that was still near and dear to my heart. After going to several people for help and many sleepless nights, I still felt helpless. I finally came to the conclusion after hearing "The Babe" in the movie Sandlot tell Benny Rodriguez, "Everybody gets one chance to do something great. Most people never take the chance, either because they're too scared, or they don't recognize it when it spits on their shoes." that’s when I decide…

Gender was always a very tricky subject for me until I finally realized gender and sex are two different things. So, gender was never something I ever really thought about. I was a girl and that was that. It was definitely assumed for me based on my biological “label” of female at birth. I grew up with two sisters so there were lots of baby dolls and Barbies. But as I got older, aspects of other gender(s) became aware to me that I decided I wanted to incorporate into my own gender. I did not like wearing dresses so that “norm” was thrown out of my wardrobe options. I was much more comfortable in pants and a t-shirt playing outside. I became very interested in sports and always wanted to be outside shooting baskets or throwing around…

Ever since I was born, I was a military brat. Not knowing where to call home, or if any place could be home, I moved.
