Personal Narrative: Halloween
Halloween isn’t my favorite holiday, it contradicts everything we are taught as children “Don't take candy from strangers!” But on Halloween it is okay for kids to take candy from strangers. Anyways, my best friend, Jamie desperately wanted to go to this costume party and I told her I would go as long as I got to pick out my costume. Jamie had a way of making me do things I wouldn't normally do.
I told her I would only go if I got to pick out my costume, hating Halloween I chose to dress up as death because it appropriate for Halloween and I would rather be dead than go to a high school party. She wasn't too happy with me. We arrived at the party and I guess I didn't get the “don't wear barely and clothes memo”.Typical!

“ Who are you?, “What do you want from me?” I screamed. “ I am your twin My name is Ryan”
“ why do you look like me?
“ Like I said I am your twin, kinda happens when you are twins.”
“ I don't have a twin, i think I would have noticed someone who looks like me walking around town”
You see, that is the problem I can only come out on Halloween, every Halloween I get to leave your body, for one night I get to have my own body.”
“Leave my body?” “What are you talking about?’
Long story short, they trapped me in your body and every Halloween I get to come out to play.”
“ Trapped?!” “ Yes trapped, Let me save you some time, the reason I only come out on Halloween Is because that is when the witch that put me in your body wakes up”ryan said “ is that why I could never go out on Halloween? Is that why they locked the doors and put bars on my windows” I asked. “ BINGO! Now you are getting it”. You see, every halloween I try to figure a way to leave your body, but i can't” When you sunk out tonight I figuared it was my moment, i thought if I got you alone and you saw me it would break the spell.” “ okay well how do you know if it is broken?” “ we will have to wait till

It was Adrian’s 9th birthday and all our family, along with Adrian’s friends from school, came to celebrate. It's a tradition for everyone from our family to bring their own homemade food to gatherings. My Uncle Willie brought rice and beans, my Aunt Marce brought her potato salad, and my Grandma managed to make a whole bunch of tortillas. Rather quickly however, everyone noticed that my Aunt Mona wasn't here, as she would usually bring a variety of sweets everyone enjoyed. My Mother told us that, my Aunt won't be able to make it to the party because she came up with a case of shingles and felt it was best to try and avoid contact with others until it goes away. The party felt incomplete without her but we were able to still have fun and celebrate Adrian’s birthday. Thankfully my Aunt made the right call in staying home and everyone started wondering what…

We rushed out of the door as we felt relieved that the horrifying experience was finally over, but it was definitely worth the long, but seemingly short wait into the asylum. There are voices, inside my head. They won’t stop, no matter what I do they tease me. They say a name I’ve only heard once. It doesn’t matter though, my therapist says they’ll be gone. “It’s just halloween messing with you, nothing more.” He wants to put me in a mental care facility. The only one we had was the “R. James Memorial Mental Institution.” It held the wealthier people that went crazy. Now kids go there to do illegal things. There are many people that died there. It was more of a death row than anything else.…

A search of Derrick Robinson’s cell phone was done and at 4:46 a.m. an incoming call was received from (910) 644-7834. The phone number was checked through several Police data bases with negative results. I then searched the phone number through Facebook and learned it was assigned to a J-Rock Ru. I then attempted to see if this was the same J-Rock that went to Emily Hamlin residence on the night of the Homicide.…

As I drive up to the Stone Center, I notice there were people and children already here. When I walk inside the Stone Center, there were Halloween decorates all over the place. The tables were cover with a black cloth, orange Halloween bucket filled with crayon for the children, and Halloween coloring books on the tables. Don't get me start on the food. The smell of the delicious food reminds me of my mother homecooked meal and the cupcakes look beautiful with orange frosting and colorful, Halloween sprinkler on top of it. As people started coming in, I got to worry that we didn't have enough chairs as so many people there was.…

My fingernails sliced into my neck, my ankles. I bit my tongue and threw myself at the wall. A trickle of blood raced down my forehead and around my eye, eager to join the pool at my feet. The whispers enjoyed this. They didn’t care about taking my hair anymore. They wanted me to do the job myself – wanted me to disappear.…

Are you scared of the dark? Well you shouldn't be afraid of me,I mean I am not that scary,I never wanted to be entirely, although the kids don't understand me,they never will. Although, the peculiar thing is,I remember this one kid about 8 years old,he lived in Great Britain, who was so scared of me he would wet his diapers, yes I said diapers, with fright of being even near me. Then in one night he got over his fear. Now I know what you are thinking,"What!? Only in a single night?". Yeah,I thought that too. Well if I am telling you this I might as well tell you the whole story right? Right. So, it was summer over there in Great Britain, about 9:00 pm. I was just going around there spreading darkness and,you know, doing my job. Then I was in this…

Part of the history of Halloween is costumes. Masks and costumes were worn in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or appease them. The practice of dressing up in costumes and begging door to door for treats on holidays goes back to the Middle Ages.Trick-or-treating resembles the late medieval practice of “souling,” when poor folk would go door to door on Hallowmas (November 1), receiving food in return for prayers for the dead on All Souls Day (November…
