I am a coupon person. I love coupon via mobile and with limited information. I just brought a piece of furniture that normally cost $3800 and I got this furniture for $1200 from JCPenny’s. I don’t really look for coupons unless I am going to that store. I must admit that I love on particular fast food chain named, Chick-Fil-A. I actually look for those coupons. I have received free minis, and other free things from Chick-Fil-A. At the same time, I carry Michael Kors products, which represent a particular status. I have a $400 dollar purse that I only paid $100. I even have a Michael Kors cell case, but no-one can tell it is a Michal Kors, but it make me feel a certain way. So, I am not sure what type of consumer behavior that I demonstrate.…
The message of life or a theme the book, “The Maze Runner” is trying to convey is to never give up and persevere. In the book, Thomas thinks, “If Newt and the others hadn’t been able to solve the maze after two years of searching, it seemed impossible there could actually be a solution. The fact that the Gladers hadn’t given up said more about these people then anything else,” This quote tells the readers that even after 2 years The Gladers never gave up and kept on trying to solve the maze no matter how pointless it looked. Another example of perseverance is when Thomas is stuck in the maze with Minho and Alby overnight. Though all the Gladers said there was no chance of surviving in the maze in the night, Thomas did not give up and is able…
The short stories "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman and "A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner illustrate the plight of women in a patriarchal society. The female characters in these stories are oppressed and dehumanized by the overbearing male influences in each of their lives. Both characters delve into insanity as an escape from the world that devalues them. Although these stories depict a similar era and theme, the portrayal of the female characters in each story is quite different, as are the authors of the stories themselves. Each author weaves into their stories their own perspective of women's lives at this time based on their own life experiences, but also on their own genders. The author's genders and view on their worlds greatly affects the way the female characters in these stories are depicted.…
The Cheesecake Factory, I once believed that the establishment would be a bakery that primarily sold cheesecakes, sweets and such. Although, I’ve never heard much about the restaurant, or what it actually was other than people are familiar with the establishment and only comment on the cheesecakes. Yet, I had not known that that was the place I was dining in, I only believed under presumption of its name that we were going to eat at some other random place when I walked through the doors of the restaurant. Now the reason I say random was the fact that this place was not like how I imagined the praiseworthy Cheesecake Factory to be at all. My expectations of this place was exactly how Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory felt and as colorful as Tim Burton’s remake of Alice in Wonderland was.…
Papa John’s use of differentiation as a business level strategy is a major component of their continued success. Creating pizza with higher quality ingredients was rare in the industry when Papa John’s introduced this concept. Papa John’s not only differentiates through superior quality but also through a significant emphasis on legendary customer service. Papa John’s uses these elements of differentiation to create superior brand loyalty.…
Managing to break free from my mother’s grasp, I charged. With arms flailing and chubby legs fluttering beneath me, I was the ferocious two year old rampaging through Costco on a Saturday morning. My mother’s eyes widened in horror as I jettisoned my churro; the cinnamonsugar rocket gracefully sliced its way through the air while I continued my spree. I sprinted through the aisles, looking up in awe at the massive bulk products that towered over me. Overcome with wonder, I wanted to touch and taste, to stick my head into industrialsized freezers, to explore every crevice. I was a conquistador, but rather than searching the land for El Dorado, I scoured aisles for free samples. Before inevitably being whisked away into a shopping cart, I…

Life. It's a journey full of ups and downs. Some days will be good, some days bad. Some days will be of no use, and others you will find something good out of. The days that I have visited Gleaners Food Bank are days I have felt I've gotten something good out of. It's a symbol of hope for so many needy people, and being a part of that makes me feel like I've brought someone one step closer to a better life. Going to Gleaners every year has made a profound impact on me, and helps me strive to help others in need.…

Have you ever imagined of a room that sent such a good vibe that you thought it was too good to be true? Well, that is how this lunchroom was. When I walked in the first thing I say was the bright lit faces of the john Adams middle school students.Their faces were so astonishing that it but a big smile on my face. The poster filled walls were a bright baby blue with a hint of green. The tables were stunning. The colors were so remarkable that they were almost blinding. The pillars that stood high were covered with flyers of all colors. But the best thing of all was the smell coming from the cafeteria. It smelled like fresh pizza out of the oven. But what they were serving was much better than pizza, it was cheesy bread sticks. As my waiter…
At first I just wanted a cookie. In elementary I would get a cookie from my parents if I did well in school. So during that time I would try my hardest to do well in school just so I could receive the prize. But by the time I got to junior high I discovered that I did not want to do well in school for the cookie. I just loved to learn about new things. Even though there are many financial obstacles that stood in my way of learning, I still plan on succeeding in life and helping out others who are in a similar situation I am in today.…
I remember counting pennies. If I wanted to buy something I would look through every draw and every coat pocket for enough spare change to buy something that I wanted. My father died from his addiction with drugs and alcohol. Not an overdose but a thrill ride that almost took someone else’s life. He lived fast and hard and died young. Me, I went home to an empty trailer in part because my mom worked and I had talked her out of going to babysitters. Looking back I think how crazy it that? In the summer I spend day and night alone unless I either spent time with my grandparents or I went to work with Mom. During the nice summer days I’d walk 2 miles by myself from my mom’s work to swim alone at the public pool. Coming from a simple background…
Everyday is a new day for me. I wake up everyday pondering whether or not I will be able to get through the day without a single complaint. As I woke up this morning, I went straight to my coffee machine to make my coffee as I always do. What was strange is that every time I tried to start it up, it wouldn't start. After realizing that my coffee machine, my most prized possession, was broken, I quickly got ready with my signature messy bun and went to the nearest coffee shop. I was going to get my coffee. After ordering my favorite coffee at Dunn Brothers, I was not happy to see that they messed up my order. I went to my work and hoped that the not-my-order-coffee would kick in soon. This day has already started off horribly and I did not…
