i wouldn't allow my son to play football.
Personally I would let my child play Football even after reading the article. In Scott Fujita article “Would I Let My Son Play Football” on page 3 it states “produced so many friendships, paid for part of my education and helped me become comfortable financially”. This shows how much good can come out of football. Football helped in school a lot, Scott got help paying for college so it wouldn't be such a hassle. In Scott fujita’s Article “Would I Let My Son Play Football” it states on page 2 “ I love playing on sundays, I loved the paychecks, I loved the guys in the locker room”.…
After reading and analyzing “Would I Let My Son Play Football” by Scott Fujita in the New York Times, I would most definitely allow my son to play football if he wanted to. I am a firm believer in letting children express themselves and participate in fun, wholesome activities. As a former football player stated, “Football gave me so much. How can I bash a game that produced so many friendships, paid for part of my education, and helped me become the comfortable financially” (Fujita 3). There are very little programs or organizations that can provide so much for you.…
After Reading Scott Fujita’s article “Would I let My Son Play Football”, I would still allow my son to play football because it is sport that will make someone better at mostly all aspects of life.…
After reading Scott Fujita’s “Would I Let My Son Play Football,” I would allow my son to play football. Fujita says, “ Here I am questioning whether children should be playing at all, and I’m basically selling the game to children watching at home.”(Fujita, 4) Here, Fujita is contradicting himself, and it shows that even a former professional football player can’t hate the game, despite the harm that comes with it. Fujita also states “.... most parents with young children who played football were most interested in my workout regimen and what supplements I was taking (Fujita, 2).” According to Fujita, football has given him the chance to be stronger, in a physical manner. After seeing how fit football players are able to be, it attracts me…
I would let my son or daughter play football. From Scott Fujita’s article, “Would I Let My Son Play Football” he exclaims, “Certainly there are lessons to be learned from playing football, about toughness, battling through adversity , and teamwork” (Fujita 3). Accordingly so, it would be beneficial to play football. Some of the lessons learned from playing football can be applied towards elsewhere in life. Specifically these can be applied in the jobs, which can aid greatly if learned from a young age.…
After reading the article “Would I Let My Son Play Football?” by Scott Fujita, I would definitely let my child play the sport ,despite the fact that the sport has many negative side effects. What is really hypocritical to me is when Scott states “No.” (Fujita 2), when he was asked if he would let his son play football. I disagree with what he said because he played football his whole life. How is it possible that he loves the sport, but would not allow his child to play? One quote I do agree with is when he said “..now I actually get paid to talk about football on television. Imagine the hypocrisy”(Fujita 4). I agree with the quote because it is ironic to me how he was an NFL player and loved the sport, but is now talking down on it and realises…
You might think football is really fun, but there can be consequences that may never go away. It might surprise you how bad these injuries can affect you but it will help you have more knowledge about them. Younger kids shouldn’t play football because they can get concussions which can cause brain damage and memory loss.…
Yes, I think football is dangerous. I love watching football games but It is very harmful. Football can ruin many lives. Football has lead to suicides, concussions, Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), which is a degenerative brain disease that can result in mood changes and dementia. As it says in the story, “in defense of football”.…

The old brick building looked to be about a million years old, but it was only 14. The thick stench of tobacco and smoke filled the air. There wasn’t much lighting, so it was always darker than outside, unless it was night. Kendrick was a tall kid that loved football. His parents could barely afford the equipment he needed.…
In high school I was a 4-year letterman in football and track. A 3-year letterman in basketball and tennis. Football meant every in my life so much that I had immersed myself in the sport, and was dedicated to it and nothing else mattered. I had even had committed to coming to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor to play football. However, on March 31, 2013 I was driving home from work, when one of the biggest moments in my life happened. While I was driving my car began to shake and I ended up losing my front driver side wheel and my back passenger side wheel. As these came off my car I went into a tailspin. I hit an embankment and flipped the car 4 times. I would try to get out and when I put my right foot down I instantly collapsed and it…
Our fourth leg runner crossed the finish line with a record setting 9:47.9 and Lampeter-Strasburg’s twelve year old 4x800m record was shattered. My teammates and I were on cloud nine. I could not believe that we had done it, even though the countless hours we had put in on the track said otherwise. Through thick and thin, wins and losses, we were always after the same dream. My worn spikes had accumulated so many miles during the season that I had lost track, but it was all worth it when we received a baton engraved with our names and record time at the track banquet. That day, it seemed as though nothing could ever stop me.…
Volleyball- I play recreational volleyball at my local church New Hope Baptist Church on Saturdays.…
Football is considered a contact sport. I like to look at the crowd and hope they are going to cheer for my team, before they get on the field. I believe in football you get more exercises than any other sport. I like the fact that you can play under the lights at night. This seems to be the best time to draw a crowd to cheer you on and parents aren't so happy to be working so they can come and enjoy the game. My dad loves football as much as I do and it seems to bring us together more. We watch a lot of football on television. Yes, you can get hurt in football, which is why some kids don't want to play. But, some hospital records show that you get hurt just as much or even more playing soccer. You can get hurt playing baseball and some of the other sports also. To be honest, I would not suggest playing a sport of any kind if you are afraid of getting hurt. Not only do you get the satisfaction of playing the sport, you can also get the attention of the cheerleaders. I have played football since I was a young boy and I hope to play in college. Who knows I may get scouted for the major leagues. Yes football is my favorite sport whether I am playing or watching it on television.…
