Personal Narrative: Indian Runs

Usually, our track workouts are pretty easy. Some 8x1 (eight 100 meter sprints), 6x150 (six 150 meter build up), even the occasional 8x200. On some dreadful day in March, after the last bell had ended, I met up with my friends and changed in the empty restrooms. While walking down to the cafeteria benches where track kids usually wait until the 3:30 mark, I overheard the captains and the varsity kids talking about a hard workout. When 3:25 rolled around, I headed up the hill to the track with two of my friends, Anthony Arcomona and Ethan Walls, where we proceeded to run the half mile warmup (not Anthony, he slacks off and usually never does 2 laps). After stretching and all the drills, Coach Decker announced that we would be doing Indian Runs.
