Personal Narrative-Kade Crush
The next day I was nursing a giant lump swollen on my forehead. Zoe did end up helping me with a couple of new moves. Mostly just basic stuff I already knew, but one cool thing, in particular, was called The Zoe Flurry. Which I believed to be the worst sounding name of anything I've ever heard of. Although it was a pretty cool attack. I'll giver that. I may even decide to adopt the move myself, but without the horrible name. Maybe The Kade Crush? That sounded loads better, but I wasn't gonna waste too much time coming up with dumb names for my moves. Because today I had something much better planned. Today, I would finally get my Archery training and I was already getting pumped up thinking about it. I just know I'm going to go out there and …show more content…
Ever since Zoe shot me in the neck with one of those Talon things a few weeks ago. I've been itching to try one out. It kinda bummed me out when Goodfellow said that I'd have to reach Legacy status before the school lets me have one for myself. I looked over at my reflection in the mirror. I had on my school cloak with quiver holder. I looked like some kind of superhero. “Time to show these newbs who's the man now.” I said to nobody in particular.
Ten minutes later I was out on the range. To my surprise, some older kid was the instructor rather than Professor Alacard or Goodfellow. “Welcome to Archery class.” He announced. “Here we will learn the ins and outs of how to manage a bow. First, we will learn some of the basics. No doubt you have all seen movies about cowboys and Indians or films about robin hood, but I am here to tell you that all of that is just a bunch of Hollywood magic. Notice the crease on your bow string. This is where you load your arrow. We have lots of non-lethal arrows here at the academy. These are meant to stun or paralyze the targets rather than kill them.” The thoughts of Corbin poisoning my first night here with Paralyze flooded my mind. The teacher continued. “In maybe a few months I will also

All that stuff about the statue moving had to just be a bunch of bologna anyway. We walked through the back door of the school that was closest to the old library. We hung outside the doorway making sure we understood the plan. Corbin was gonna walk in first and point out the girl with the earring. After that, I needed to make a distraction to get everyone’s attention. That’s when the other guys would make their

On the first day of practice he introduced himself as “Jimmy Johnson” our defense line coach. He had a beer belly and glasses and slick wet hair and nappy eye brows and an itchy musty beard. His breath smelled like dog liver. My first impression of him is he just looks weird and mean. We began practice we ran around cones. We went over plays. Where we should line up according to the offense. Coach Johnson always thought he knew what is best for us. He would have running like slaves on D’jango. Coach ran the soles off my cleats. After all this running, my girdle begun chafing creating a rash like an unchanged baby. My feet would always hurt after practice. Looking down my feet was throbbing like a heartbeat. We would run all the lines on the…

I have always wanted to hit a dinger since the day I started baseball. Keegan and I were warming up before the semi final game. It started off regular, he throws it to me, I throw it back. Then my team started taking pop ups, but me and keegan still got to warm up because he was starting pitcher and I was catching for him. It was pretty wet outside but that wouldn't stop us from playing our game.…

I felt the stock of my bow while I was sitting in the blind. Frost had already began to form where I rubbed it off seconds ago. I looked through the small window at the everlasting snow. “Wait, was that a deer moving along those trees?” I asked myself. It looked more like a kangaroo making its way through the snow. I could barely stand up in the cold. I pulled back, ready to take the shot.…

I was starting out 3rd grade in a new school. I didn’t really have any friends except for one, but she was more like a sister to me than a friend. I met a nice girl name Mia in my class. She was funny, nice, and popular. She walked up to me all happy and cheerful and asked my name. Of course I was shy but I was able to let out my name in a sorrow voice “Ariana Ceniceros…”. Everyone stared in silence as I walked away.…

With sweat drenching their bodies and taking deep gulps for air, five young men sling their arms over each other’s shoulders and take their final bow. The crowd’s cheers erupt into shrieks and tears; for they have just witnessed the boy band One Direction perform live in concert. My screams too, can be heard throughout my house as I watch this video on YouTube vowing to myself that one day I will see One Direction in concert. I make this promise to myself, as my screams then morph into tears of joy and longing as the members of One Direction exit the stage.…

I had used the entire quiver and had not even hit the target once. Sylvanas had walked up to me, retrieved my bow from me, collected my arrows, and let loose on the target, hitting every shot fired. I tood in awe at her performance, her unrivaled expertise, kneeling in front of her, I had asked her if could have personal lessons with her, For I thought that the lack of people would help improve my focus. Sylvanas and I had grown very close during the time in which she trained me, and after a time of intense training, I ascended to the rank of ranger lieutenant, and was almost as good of a shot as her.…

“205, 341, 201, 210, and 372 please come back onto the stage.” 210, that’s me. I was frozen, I could feel the countless pairs of eyes beating down on me. I felt a hand push me forward, probably Cristina. I quickly glance around the stage, seeing if there was anyone I knew. My eyes spot Emily, center left stage, a smile plastered on her face. I immediately change my expression of fear into a confident smile. ‘Always smile with your eyes,’ my teacher’s advice replays in my head. Bill’s loud, cheesy voice soon filled the room.…

When I was 17 it was 1995, I went on my first real date. We were going to see First Knight. The boy in question was the friend of a friend and I had only ever talked to him on the phone. He said he would pick me up at 7 and we would catch a movie. So far so good. 7 rolls around and he isn't there, he calls and says his Dad is running late so they won't be there till 8. I didn't realize his Dad was driving but whatever, I am withholding judgment. 8:30 they show up and he knocks on my door and I go out to join him. He leans in for a kiss and I lean very far back and awkwardly stick out my hand to shake his hand. He doesn't act like he knows what to do next and he is just staring at his feet and his Dad is staring at us and time just crawls. We finally just painfully walk to the car. It is not immediately apparent where we are going to be sitting. Now, this dude's Dad was HUGE. Not just his weight, but his entire freaking frame. He barely fits in his car. He has the driver's seat all the way back and in the front seat next to him is a cage of living breathing birds. The back seat is really only half a back seat because his Dad is filling so much of the car. I look at my date and look at the car. My date seems to have come to the same realization that there is really only one seat. I squeeze into the backseat while my date squeezes into the front seat with a bird…

Jamie swallowed as he slowly pulled the trigger. Everything seemed to go into slow motion. Jamie's heart was pounding so fast, it seemed like it might explode if it went any faster. The butt of the gun kicked him in the crook of his shoulder, but Jamie didn't notice. He didn't see the bullet until the buck gave a little jump, staggering only a little bit. Jamie sat as still as a stone, not even daring to breathe. The buck collapsed, like Jamie knew it would. It was a clean shot and Jamie knew it. The buck didn't suffer much, and Jamie was glad for that, but, he couldn't even keep his thoughts straight. He really shot his first deer! The doe sprinted off towards the woods, and Jamie finally breathed again. His hands were clammy and shaking…
