Karen got married at the age of 16 and had two little girls Daisy and Jasmin Rodriguez. Traditions in Mexico City according to Karen were women were to have kids, stay at home, and do the cleaning in the house. Nothing more, than a house wife. For Karen, she cried every day and night. She loved having my sister and I but she never got the chance to live her life. Education for her was always important. She was a straight A student. She however did not finish school. Karen dropped out in seventh grade.
Karen Rodriguez was different from her classmates. She was a white skin little girl, with shiny blond hair. Her hair flowed straight down to her hips. She pushed me into taking summer classes in Richard Daley College. By the last two weeks of summer I became a certified Para professor and landed a job in a Chicago Public School. She has given me everything that I need. As a 21 year, old I have accomplished many things. I have gotten to where I am because of her. I lack confidence in myself. Karen has a way of boosting my confidence and self-esteem. I asked her one last question I said what would make you feel that you are a great
