Miss Wherry was the long-term sub. As Mrs. Windish joins us again, I interviewed her on her return.I also interviewed Miss Wherry (Mrs. Harris) on her departure.
What do you look forward to most when you return? “I look forward to seeing all of my students, and getting back into teaching.”
What is the best part about your job?
“There are so many good things, it is hard to choose, but it is definitely the interaction with my students and seeing them grow, I also enjoy visits from old students..”
How long have you been teaching at South Fayette? “This will be my tenth year teaching here.”
During her absence, Mrs Windish’s class was taught
by Mrs. Harris. If you don’t recognize the name Mrs Harris, it is because she recently married. Most students will remember her as Miss Wherry. Why did you choose teaching as your career? “I choose teaching because it is a very fulfilling feeling knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of students.”
What will you miss most about South Fayette? “ The wonderful, helpful staff, and the students.” Fortunately, Mrs. Harris isn’t leaving us just yet. She will be filling in for Mrs. Lortz as the Technology Literacy Integrator.
We are excited to have Mrs. Windish back, and we wish Mrs. Harris luck with her temporary position as the Technology Literacy Integrator.
